Don't care enough to learn how to look it up. Believe it or don't...
It's weird how you think trading up/down instead in Licht's wheel house when he lives and dies by it. He does it a lot...
We were at the time talking about picks available and I wanted Johnson and you said no... which is whatever. Then he started off slow and you rubbed it in some more how I was wrong about it. But he's playing very well this year.
Lloyd you (and DH) also pointed out that he wasn't good when I was shitting on Hall... and to some extent that was fair because he started out poorly. But again he'd be a huge improvement over White (who wouldn't?)
You always have such a keen memory but this one just escapes you... how convenient

Since it didn’t happen, I probably won’t.

I have no idea what you are trying to say here.

You’re right, I do have a keen memory. And this is hogwash. At best, you’re confusing me with someone else. At worst, you’re making it up in some lame troll attempt.
Again, I know it’s crap because I liked both Johnson and Lloyd as prospects. I was never a fan of Hall’s. I follow college football and the draft pretty closely, and honest to God, I had no idea who Logan Hall was when he was drafted. I didn’t like the pick then, and don’t feel any better about it now.
If we could do the nfl draft over again
1st round - Landon Dickerson, C Alabama
2nd round - trade up for Kyle tra. I mean Milton Williams, DT Louisiana tech
3rd found - Quinn Meinerz, OG Wisconsin
4th round - Michael Carter II, CB Duke
Instead - JTR, Trask, Hainsey, and Darden. What a waste of a draft

This is where you go and look back and prove to me you were pro Lloyd and anti Hall - then I'll believe you (and that I'm mixing you up with someone else).
I watched a ton of Devin Lloyd at Utah. Wanted him bad... he fell too. Was there for the picking... trading back to reach on Hall was awful.

I have no issue with the Hainsey pick... darden was Brady's influence (seems like Thompkins is a clone of him).
JTR was a reach and Trask wasn't a need or a good prospect.
I think part of Licht's issue is not going BPA and just let some players walk and get the comp pick.
Davis or Dean for example. Jensen too.
Yet he doesn't resign Whitehead or Edwards for cheap

Hes not going to go BPA while Brady is here because the chips are all-in. He's also not going to let Davis or Dean or Jensen walk for the same reasons. Fans were actually celebrating that he was keeping the team together
This is one of those things where the critique is probably right in a vacuum, but maybe not under the actual circumstances?

You're asking me to prove a negative (sometimes called the Negative Proof Fallacy) by going through conversations I wasn't apart of. That's not going to happen. You made the statement, and the onus is on you to prove it.
You are simply misremembering, like when you said the Bucs passed on Jermaine Johnson and had two opportunities to draft Creed Humphrey. Neither of those things happened either, but you said they did. Unless you have some proof to offer, where I would gladly eat crow and give you your due, I won't be responding to this nonsense any further.

that was the bizarre thing that drove us nuts about the Kyle Trask selection. We were all in, trying to "go for 2" or whatever the heck we called it; and instead of drafting offensive line, defensive line, or secondary; he goes with a project QB. the only way i would have been ok with a QB in the 2021 draft is if it was Trevor Lawrence. So yeah, the Superbowl Champion Bucs would have somehow lucked into the #1 overall pick. Otherwise, it was a boarderline retarded decision and cost us a chance to repeat (could have had #1 overall seed with a potential depth selection who stepped up. You may recall alot of injuries in secondary that year. We have #1 overall seed, maybe we dont get Wirfs hurt in Eagles round 1 game. All hypotheticals, but it came back to bite them drafting a career back up QB and kick returner in the first 4 rounds.

When Licht said Trask was drafted for this period of time (ie low cost QB option as team rebuilds) do you think he is just reverse engineering an excuse for a potential missed pick?
It seems like you could always get through this cap cleanup period with journeyman QBs. But, the other side is that if Trask performed then he'd be a steal
The only way Trask will get to perform this season is if Mayfield is out for injury. Bowles has hitched his wagon to Mayfield. Switching to Trask, and IF he were to perform, would leave a huge egg salad on Bowles face. Personally I feel the Bucs should see what they have in Trask, but it's not gonna happen.

I'm not asking you to prove our conversation. I'm asking you to claim you wanted Lloyd or Johnson.
I barely know how to look that shit up let alone go back 3 years to dig it up even if I did
Hard pass.
There are some here that still defend the Trask pick... still think he's the guy.
Hilarious... must be a UF thing

I would love to see what he actually does in real games, but that only happens with a couple more losses.
Just like Winston before there are a handful of posters here who are really more pro-Trask than pro-Buc. They standout because their criticism of Mayfield is over the top, almost rooting for him to fail, or because they are repeatedly calling for something that shouldn't happen yet and that is the suggestion that Bowles should just go with Trask now.

come on man. He is rolling with Mayfield because (1) he has proven better than Trask in practice (2) he is playing good enough for them to be in playoff contention. Two losses we should have won - Atlanta is Baker's fault, Houston is defenses fault; and he won two games we likely should have lost in Minnesota and New Orleans.
Trask will get his shot if the Bucs fall out of contention. He may get 3-4 games but as shit as the division is i could also see Trask not getting any time. Bowles is coaching for his life and Baker is superior to Trask - no one would question this except for some Bucs fans. I do see Trask getting his shot, particularly if we lose the next 2 weeks but it will be at the direction of Ownership/GM. I think they likely know Trask isn't the answer (i mean what you need an anvil to fall on your head?)
Im good with seeing what Trask can do... I'm also good with eating crow if I'm wrong... just like Winston.
But we all know there's a low chance he's even decent
