When/why did he lose it?
Again you ignore my post. I thought you are supposed to be so good that you can make posters disappear.
Stopped reading it after you recommended I take up a drug addiction and that I'm homosexual because I think Freeman is a good QB. You're not worth my time.
I'm sure that is why you didn't bothering responding. If you were as great as you claimed you would be able to answer those questions. Fact is you can't.
I really did not read it up until now. You're using very small sample sizes under very difficult circumstances. Jets and Patriots were a combined 14-2 at home. Saints had an excellent pass defense and his stats would look a lot better if the 73 yard TD wasn't taken off the board. Plus I don't believe he would have thrown that INT late in the 3rd if we were winning. He was usually good in those situations. The Vikings having him throw 53 passes in a game after being there 2 weeks was ridiculous. He shouldn't have been playing until November/December.Now that I answered your questions, answer mine. Unlike you I will be using large sample sizes. If Freeman was such a big problem for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, why did the team lose 17 games in a row that Freeman didn't start? In two 8 game stretches in 2010 and 2012 he combined for 32 TDs and 4 INTs... but the team only went 9-7 in those 16 games. How is that possible?
This thread is great.
Yeah. Smith woulda taken the 49ers to the Super Bowl. Just like he took the Chiefs and their elite roster to the Super Bowl.
I wouldnt bag on Smith, he played pretty well if I remember. I'd bag on that defense for ending their season.
Regular season record when QB rating of 89+Kaepernick 16-0Freeman 17-8If Freeman was on the 49ers I suspect it would be 25-0 or close to it. If Kaepernick was on the Bucs it would be 8-8.

First question is really stupid. In 2008 the Bucs defense made the biggest epic collapse I can remember. In 4 games they gave up 123 points. That is an average of 30 PPG. 38, 13, 41, and 31. Before those last 4 games they were giving up 16 PPG. If you're a real Bucs fan you remember this defensive collapse. Now 2009 Byron freaking Leftwich was the starter and that team was untalented as they come. Of course we didn't win with a scrub like him. 2013 do I really even need to explain what happened there? Greg Schiano, the entire coaching staff, and injuries. The 17 games in a row doesn't show how "great" Freeman was it shows how bad the whole team(s) were. Freeman had one good season which was 2010. Then guess what? He lost weight. Was it really because he stopped eating Taco Bell or was it his drug problem? Going to go with the latter. You do know the season is 16 games and not 8 games, right? So you basically provided the point that Freeman is terribly inconsistent and disappears for half the season. That isn't what a good QB does. Josh Freeman looked atrocious this year and didn't manage to win a single game. Yet with the same team Glennon was able to pull 4 wins out of it. Freeman was on pace to throw for 3,044 yards this season had he remained starter. That's not even more than Glennon was able to throw had he been the starter from the beginning. He was also on pace to throw 8 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. Don't forget the fact his teammates didn't vote him captain, he missed team meetings even if with Minnesota, and missed team photos. Face it your hero Freeman was a guy with some potential, but cared more about drugs and partying than he did about his job. That is why Freeman sucks and that is why he won't be a starter anymore.

That sounds about right.

So the 2009 team was 0-7, "untalented as they come", heading toward 0-16, but Freeman comes in and immediately beats a pretty good Packers team. Weird. From 0-7 to 3-6, should have been 5-4 but the defense blew late leads vs ATL and Miami. Again, you have no regard to the difficulty of the beginning of the 2013 schedule. Freeman would have racked up numbers vs teams like Philly, Atlanta twice, Detroit, Miami and considering the field position, Buffalo. Sure as hell wouldn't have lost the Cardinals game either.

Nice you totally ignored the fact you yourself unintentionally called Freeman inconsistent. I expected you to ignore that. You also ignored the fact about Freeman being a bad teammate by missing meetings, team photos, and not being voted team captain. You blame the defense for the 2009 blown leads, but did they collapse as bad as the 2008 Freemanless team? Oh wait, doesn't fit your agenda. The same Philly team that he completed only 41% of his passes against the year before? You can try to say he would have did this or that based on your delusions, but numbers don't lie. He was on pace for a terrible season. The numbers don't support any of your claims.
Freeman hasn't finished with a QB rating over 80.0 his last nine starts. Either he is just incredibly unlucky and drew the most difficult schedule in the history of the NFL, or, for whatever reason, he's just not as good as he used to be.

It's definitely the latter.
When/why did he lose it?
Drugs and partying perhaps

I'll take 2 TDs and 0 turnovers from my QB every week, don't care what the completion % is. But like I said, 32 TDs and 4 INTs only gets you 9-7 on the Bucs. Last 4 games of 2008 defense was still better than the 2011 defense and and just about the same was the 2012 defense.

LOL you can't pick and choose 16 games from different seasons and combine them together. That's not how real football works. You're so ignorant it's seriously embarrassing. You can't seriously be this stupid. It's just not even possible. You're stating those stats as if that was from a single season. In REALITY those are you combining his best game to make it look like you have a point. How about you combine Freeman's worst games and post those stats. I bet those are a lot uglier. You need to quit Josh Freeman and maybe posting anything while you're at it. Don't wanna embarrass yourself anymore than you already have.
I put those 8 game stretches together to show that no matter what he did it would not have been good enough to win here. How is a 1st round QB supposed to succeed when 1. Incompetent GM making bad picks, bad trades, bad contracts2. Hired 2 coaches who didn't even have coordinator experience and were both fired.3. Constant shuffling of offensive coordinators and QB coaches.4. Bottom 5 defenses with the exception of 2010Can anyone give me an example of a QB that thrived under those conditions?
