http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-8tJ0_8L_I Another guy in the mix to be the #2 true DE after Clowney. My analysis: Pros: Average-to-above average burst Above average-to-good closing speedDoes not give up when blockedVery active with his handsCan disengage from blocksCan turn the corner while being engaged by a blockerVersatile: can rush from both sides and insideCons: Not elite burstPlays tall and can be stood up in place if blocker has leverageNot great bend around the corner
ESPN's Scouts INC has him as the 61st best prospect in the draft.

No thanks...He has 0 moves and gets stood up often.
FRG - The more prospects over the past few years that I see the less and more apparent it becomes that they are not taught hand usage tactics in the college game...Players need to be physically violent with there hands and need to be able to make subtle yet very precise and powering movements with their hands all while orchestrating their trunk in coordinator with their upper torso. The best players in this draft at that are Anthony Barr and Trent Murphy.

I disagree on Barr and Murphy. I don't see good hand use with them. I think of the four Martin has the best hands.

I agree, the other video of the Mizzou DE you see the same things...it's like he just puts his hand out and tries to bull rush...DE is all about speed/strength/leverage and I just don't see it with these guys...
I'm still searching for a DE I really like. Right now I like Murphy and.....that's about it.Kinda liking George Uko and Randy Gregory, but I need to watch more. James Gayle is a mid/late round guy that looks interesting.Overall I think it's a weak DE class. I'd look to FA to fill that need.
I think we'll fix our DE woes in FA this year. But, its still good discussion nevertheless.Barr is severely overrated as a pass rusher. Mack is the 2nd best DE in this class.
His rush lacks explsiveness, The ends I like so far are Barr, Clowney and Murphy, though Murphy I think he can only brings as much as what AC can. Mack doesnt impress me when I watch him
Hey you never know. NC has made some solid DEs in the past. He could be ok.

Unless it is a typo, he had a 1.53 10 yard split.....which is much more important than the 40 time and is quite impressive for a man his size. Could be a typo though. It's on Walters....but Kareem Martin has never looked that explosive to me. Good player though.

10' 9" is an insane broad jump so it shouldn't be too surprising if he has such a good 10-yard split. The two go hand in hand.

i like Kareem Martin maybe in the 3rd round area. hes got the measurables to turn into a really good DE if hes provided good coaching, something i dont think he got at UNC.its definately a weak DE class. i like Murphy but hes not quite big enough to play DE for my liking. if he can play at 265 or so and be explosive then im all for it. i like Gayle in the later rounds a lot. Kony Ealy i also like but i dont think hes explosive enough of a rusher to be worth the high pick wed need to use.
