Kiper projects Bucs staying in state for top three picks By Roy Cummings | Tribune Staff Published: April 17, 2015 TAMPA — Are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the verge of asking a Florida Gator to protect a Florida State Seminole when the 2015 season begins? One well-known NFL draft analyst thinks so. Mel Kiper Jr. of ESPN came out Friday with a three-round projection of the draft for each team, and he has the Bucs staying in state for each of their first three picks. Kiper is sticking with his long-standing prediction that the Bucs will take FSU quarterback James Winston with the first pick. He then has the Bucs taking UF tackle D.J. Humphries with their second pick. In the third round, Kiper has the Bucs going back to Tallahassee and plucking defensive end Mario Edwards, who has been described by scouts as an average pass rusher but a force against the run.
