He will be marginal because thats the type of QB he is. That said, I think he is still better than RGIII.The Redskins may have the worst QB situation in  the league outside of the Raiders

+1    maybe a high 2nd?

Yea, that would be my guess.  All the teams who need a QB will be picking in the top half, but I dont see them giving up their 1st...but could see one of them giving up their 2nd thats in the top 15.

He already played a game last year, what do you mean you don't know what to expect?  You never had a problem determining if someone was a bust or not based on one game before.

Nice burn.Jdubb can surely tell you that Mike Glennon is bad though...

The Vikings and Jags might beg to differ.

Cousin's won't do anything much different than RGIII. The Redskins are like the bucs, deficient at several important levels.

Cousins is still on the Redskins?  I'm stunned he wasn't traded in the offseason, after the board simpleton "garanteed" it last year:

Washington isn't trading Cousins.  He's too valuable for when RGIII is on the sidelines.  Give it up.

I garantee they trade him .

I think this is more of an attempt to showcase Cousins in hopes of trading him in the off season.  The cost of RG3 was high and there are lots of holes to fill.

Poor scarecrow. His dumb ass didn't read the thread before running his mouth...AGAIN...  and just quoted me calling the same exact thing others are calling in this thread.Fascinating , scarecrow , truly fascinating. You really got me on this one. LOL

Was thinking the same thing.  It was the right move.  Get their franchise guy healthy, showcase their backup for a possible trade.  They dont get their 1st round pick so doesnt really matter how many they win/lose from here on out.  Probably should have done it a couple weeks back.

No, no, no....This isn't about showcasing Cousins, it's about showcasing Kyle Shanahan. The reality is that it's about 99.9% certain that the Shanaclan is gone at the end of the year. Reports up here are that Shanny Jr. has been complaining about running a "college offense" and that he believed starting RGIII this season was going to set the offense back. So he gets three games against a series of soft defenses in order to be able to bring into an interview in the offseason.

I'm thinking Cousins will show well and likely win a couple of those games...he gets traded for a high pick in my opinion.

You're pretty tuned in up there.  With RGIII's injury history and drop-off in performance, do you see any scenario where they trade Cousins?  I didn't think it would happen last offseason (despite the board simpleton's "garantee") and I still don't see any reason to do it - if I'm Washington.

Biggs, I've never really understood the "trade Cousins" idea. I've always seen it as a hedge, maybe because the Shanaclan wasn't quite 100% on RGIII. You have to understand, the Skins sports media and fan-base is different than any I've ever been exposed to - there's not nearly the skepticism you have in other areas. So to rationalize drafting a QB in round 4 on a team with a ton of holes after they had supposedly "solved" the QB issue for good, the local media decided to go with what I call the Schaub-theory: Teams will see how good Cousins is in limited action, and they'll miraculously throw high picks at the Skins to get him (despite the fact that he was available to 31 other teams at least 3 times). I just find that hard to believe.  But to answer your question, there are two ways I see him getting traded:- He plays so well that it's seen as a potential locker-room splitter. - Some idiot team offers them a too good to pass up deal - I feel like that is unlikely in a post-Matt Flynn world. Otherwise, I think he stays on as a hedge. Personally - and I say this as a Kirk Cousins fan (my wife is an Michigan State alum) - I think he'll be ok, not great. But if I'm wrong, that locker room/fanbase issue is real. It seems to me that the Danny is all in on RGIII and one of the issues he's had in the past with coaches is that he's had "pet" players (Bruce Smith, for example) who could circumvent the coaching staff. If he thinks Cousins is going to cause problems with RGIII, he'll move him. What's going on now is this weird Kabuki where Shanny says he's doing this for "Robert's health" after keeping him in a blowout loss on a sloppy field to a team with the second best pass-rush in football. And he followed that up by saying how important it is for him to be healthy for the offseason so that they can work with him when everybody knows he's a goner. And then his son today says that he had no role in the benching, which nobody believes. It's amazing, and I think it trumps our Freeman episode from earlier in the season.

Yet another day since late Dec 2012 Kirk hasn't been traded. I thought it was "garanteed"
