...of course the stat line ignore his 2 INT's and 1 fumble which made a big difference in the Deadskins not winning today. He made some nice throws overall but made too many mistakes.Cousins has this aura about him but earlier in the year he tossed 9 passes and had 2 picks in a game, last year he also threw 9 passes and had 2 picks in a game. Those are terrifyingly bad ratios. He's really had that one good game vs CLE last year and other than that he makes a lot of mistakes.

He struggled early on. Had a fumble and two interceptions. I'll cut him some slack though considering it was his first game this season. Once he got going he looked pretty good. Gotta remember who he was playing though. That Falcons defense is terrible. Still, if he plays like he did today in the next two games....I bet the Skins get at least a 2nd for him this offseason.

I'm not saying I would give up a 2nd, I'm just looking at how many teams need a QB, what's available in the draft, and what is there is FA. I think the Falcons game was a good start for him. If he can continue to look good and get better in the final two games.....I think some team will give up a 2nd round pick.

I think it would take our 2nd pick straight up for him. No swapping picks. For that price, I am just not sure.

He was a 4th and hasn't done anything to really boost his value to that of a 2nd rounder.I know the draft point chart is a relic, but in my scenario the difference would be 250 points, which is equal to the 4th pick of the 3rd round.....which seems like fair compensation to me. Also, the Redskins have no 1st again, so for them, having the 34th and 39th pick would be very appealing. If we did make that trade, we could hopefully trade back from #7 in the first and pick up another 2nd or 3rd so we'd still have three picks in the top 100.
I think he's right. I think it'll take at least a 2nd round pick for Cousins, probably more. I think the Redskins should trade Griffen and keep Cousins, but that's simply my opinion. I think Cousins is a better passer and likely to stay healthier throughout his career.

Yea, I really think they would want a 2nd straight up. The biggest question you have about rookies coming in is can they play at the NFL level. He has shown he can so his value jumps considerably. I could see them giving us maybe a 4th or 5th back since ours is a high 2nd, but I still dont think I want to pay that price.
