Up here in the Northern Virginia area, there is a pretty fierce debate on Cousins/Griffin and what to do with them. There's definitely a camp that feels that Cousins is the QB they should keep - especially with Gruden now the coach since he prefers a pocket passer for his offense. However, RGIII is apparently buddy-buddy with Snyder. There's also a very real chance they keep both QBs for at least another year to see how RGIII comes back after more rehab on his knee. One interesting point that's been brought up several times on Sports Radio around here is Cousins' trade value. Some think it may not be as high as a lot of people think because teams are leery of backup QBs with one or two good starts due to the way Matt Flynn turned out. Teams may not be willing to pay a high draft pick for a QB that couldn't win the starting job on his own team - especially after the Dallas game against the worst defense in the league. Outside of Garcon's catches, Cousins was not so great. Will be interesting to see how it plays out, especially what sort of indications we have about Snyder's Jones-esque meddling.

I'm thinking a 2nd as well...moreso because of the supply/demand dynamic this off-season.

Has anyone ever watched Cousins? Noodle arm that was pretty ineffective this year. Not sure why theres so much hoopla around him. Glennon is a lot better.

It's been over for about a year now, since your dumbass "garanteed" they were going to trade Cousins last offseason - even when you were forewarned about Griffin's injuries:

Washington isn't trading Cousins.  He's too valuable for when RGIII is on the sidelines.  Give it up.

I garantee they trade him . They need draft picks , and teams rarely keep backup QB's who have 1st round trade value. They have other needs.

The funny thing about the rationale for that guarantee was that they needed draft picks the year they spent it on Cousins.

"The Redskins announced Tuesday afternoon that quarterback Robert Griffin III is the team’s Ed Block Courage Award winner this season. Each team’s players choose their own winner of the award, given annually to a player who “displays extraordinary courage in the face of adversity.” Griffin injured his knee in a playoff game against Seattle on Jan. 6, 2013, had surgery Jan. 9,

Cousins legend grows each time he doesn't play. His legend reminds me of Matt Flynn of Green Bay lure. They dude got exposed once he got the keys to the car.Not saying Cousins will go that route, but there's a lot of hoopla surrounding a guy that there's barely any NFL tape on.

I don't really care who wins in this ongoing battle, but if you don't think the injury issues were on the minds of the Skins well before the ACL tear, you are nuts. Kirk Cousins had to come in 3 times for RGIII during the season, and in week 16, he was wearing a leg brace. James Andrews was freaking out about RGIII back when he hurt his MCL against Baltimore.

Precisely, which is why RGIII's injuries were referenced.  This has all been covered, but the poster in question continues to run from the obvious.

Cousins' stock was sky high at the time and the Skins needed to recoup picks after the fleecing the Rams gave them. They'd have absolutely traded Cousins in the off-season if RGIII didnt get an catastrophic injury that could effect him well into the next season. There is no ongoing battle ...only in the scarecrow's tiny mind , a place where opinions can't change as circumstances change.

No offense, but you are just so wrong about this in so many ways.

So if you are right Cousins won't be traded .....ever ....as long as RGIII is around. Correct ?? He hurt his value this season by looking so crappy in relief , but we shall see. I think they'll still move him if they get a decent offer.
