On the Bucs Radio Network, Koetter was asked about what his thoughts are on the ideal defensive system . He replied that a 4-3/3-4 Hybrid was ideal in his opinion. And on making a full transition to a 3-4, his comment was "If you haven’t drafted that way, if you’ve drafted toward defensive ends, I think there’d be a two- or three-year transition to get the right number of guys at the right spots” for a 3-4."
Im curious as to what koettes opinion is on the way weve drafted for defense since hes been here. should someone let Koetter know that there is currently zero quality 4-3 or 3-4 DE passrushers on this team? And perhaps remind him the only DE we drafted was a 255lb guy better suited in a 3/4 as a prospect, who proceeded to lose 10 lbs or so after his first year?
