Austin Seferian-Jenkins poised for big seasonPat Yasinskas, ESPN Staff Writer Austin_Zpsv1Qeoc2G.jpgTAMPA, Fla. -- If you’re looking for a sleeper in fantasy football, I’ve got a candidate. It’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins. He’s coming off a rookie season in which he had just 21 catches for 221 yards and two touchdowns."Really, it wasn’t good enough," Seferian-Jenkins said. "Personally, my expectations of myself, that wasn’t a good enough year. Everything needs to get better in all facets of my game."So why do I see Seferian-Jenkins as a sleeper for fantasy purposes? There are several reasons. First off, he’s healthy. Injuries limited Seferian-Jenkins to nine games last season."I just need to stay healthy," Seferian-Jenkins said. "If I stay healthy -- which I will -- I’ll have a great year. Not worried about that."Second, there is talent there. When Seferian-Jenkins was healthy last season, he showed he can make plays in the passing game. Pair him with 6-foot-5 wide receivers Vincent Jackson and Mike Evans and there are going to be mismatches against defenses. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, there is the change in offensive schemes. New coordinator Dirk Koetter likes to get the tight end heavily involved in the passing game, as evidenced by what he did in Atlanta with Tony Gonzalez and in Jacksonville with Marcedes Lewis."My goal is to win as many games as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (can win)," Seferian-Jenkins said. "I think that’s the most important thing. However many balls I catch, how many touchdowns I catch, whatever blocks I have to make, the most important thing is that we win games here, and we live to our potential and play to our talent level. That’s the most important thing. Personal goals are really out the window -- it’s about the team."But, if Seferian-Jenkins plays to his potential and stays healthy, the numbers are going to come. That’s good news for the Bucs and for fantasy owners.
