I think the Broncos loss was on Mayfield as much as anyone, but he addressed it yesterday:
“[We’ve] taken ownership of what we put on tape last week,” Mayfield said. “Like I said, that wasn’t the ‘Buc’ brand of football – what we put on tape last week.
“So owning it, correcting it and making the things [translate] from practice and the mentality that we needed to correct there and translating it to gameday. Everybody owned it and that’s an accountable team. And [I’m] proud of them.”
On the DEFENSE, apparently the somewhat reserved LVD gave quite a lashing to the team this week
"YaYa Diaby and Jordan Whitehead told Joe how David blew up at the team in practice this week for shatting themselves against the Broncos. David demanded, ordered, hollered that each player needed to look into the mirror to figure out what they did wrong and that they had no choice but to be ready for Sunday’s game with the Eagles. David told players that everyone had a responsibility to turn what happened last week into a positive this week."
The Eagles were beat up but the Bucs did EXACTLY what a good team should do in that scenario, especially a Florida team in September.. Came out quick, cored TDs instead of FGs, got stops etc.
