Of Jags job..could he return to the Bucs ???
This is depressing.
i wonder if we could trade a 3rd round pick and Leftwich to a team for maybe a 7th round pick. We can avoid any publicity issues in "firing Leftwich" by simply trading him away.
Lol
Arians:
”The first half was the first time I’ve seen this year when Byron said, ‘Screw it, I’m going back to being me.’ This was a game Mike [Evans] should’ve had 200 [yards].”
lol

Incredibly depressing.
Good news for Jags fans though, as he would've ruined Trevor's career.
Presser. Leftwich was asked why don't we see the hurry up offense more often and much earlier?
Lefty: "You guys have seen it before, you guys have seen it all year, it's been here really all year. It's just when we use it and win football games wid it, it's a good thing, you know it's exciting, right, we want it, we been in so many games like dat when we won at da end, but we run some no huddle first quarter, second quarter, third quarter, it's just when you win football games wit it at da end, it puts a little bit more emotion, makes it a little bit more dramatic."
Me: Do you not get it? What the F kind of answer is that? BS, people are asking why you don't run that offense for an entire drive, or drives, not just a play here or there early in the game. This dipshit just doesn't get it.
FireLefty2022.
If I were Licht, it would be the second thing I would do after firing Bowles. These guys need to hit the road. I'll be cheering for the Bucs in Section 311 on Sunday, but I won't be cheering for these coaches. They need to be gone.
Leftwich will be gone. Bowles will not be. Better to adjust to that idea. The Glazers will give him another year to see what he can do with his own hand-picked assistants. If he hires the right OC, the team could make a quick turnaround next year (depending on who the QB is).
Ordinarily, I think a HC deserves 2 years. I'm not a huge Bowles fan, and I personally think it was probably a mistake to hire him, but there's been a lot of turmoil this year and we don't know the behind-the-scenes stuff. There was also all the Brady drama, the Jensen injury, O-line overhaul, and things snowballed. That will all be factored in when ownership evaluates Bowles. I'm sure there's a lot we don't know.
The problem with keeping Bowles and giving him a chance to run things with his own staff is, what if he still demands run on 1st and 2nd down and play defense? This offense looks different and crappy because Bowles has made adjustments to it from the years BA was HC. I’ve seen enough to know if a guy can be successful as a HC or not in the NFL. As owner you have to have the guts to make the tough decisions now. Not just giving him another shot to see what can do next year. That’s a waste of a year and of revenue.
@ehinote I'm not saying you're wrong. I just believe the Glazers will give him another year. I'll still hope for the best and hope the O-coordinator he hires can get more out of the running game, not become predictable, and have an explosive passing game. There are other ways to get big plays than "no risk it, no biscuit". I don't know if Bowles has a clue how to hire a decent offensive coordinator though. It remains to be seen.
The thing about bowles is that he does a good job with d but no idea how to run rest of the team and in game decisions. They keep it close and conservative and if close Brady can win the game in that situation. Problem there are teams in this league that can score points. Can't do the conservative stuff all the time. Not a way to win consistently imo.
Well he may need to gain some experience in order to really want to be prepared and ready to coach there! But just hope that he and Bowles and all the coaches can get on the same page.
Bowles can definitely run a defense. Running a team very different
I could be wrong but when Bowles was named HC of the Jets he hired a pretty wide open OC? Could be wrong but if true it makes the conservative play now a little puzzling

I guess we'll find out when we start hearing the names of Bowles' handpicked OC candidates. You can be wide open without being no risk it, no biscuit... and maybe Lefty just couldn't figure out the difference. Adapting the Arians offense may have been above Leftwich's head. It certainly appears that way.

It’s only a “little puzzling” to a select few simpletons. Anybody with a clue is well-aware of what’s going on.
