While I do support Martin>Blount, I wasn't big on Martin being drafted. I was, and still am, a Blount supporter. I think he could carry a team. Just needed to fix his fumbles. BB did..

You seem to be hung up on sucker punch thing. There are many players in the NFL right now, that have done way worse.
it's a reasonable thing to be hung up on, it was an ugly display. there was a reason he wasn't drafted, and it wasn't for a lack of talent. 32 teams, head coaches and front offices passed on him, and according to a couple of assistants who used to be on Rah's staff, his in person interviews were a big part of that.That said, I have been a huge proponent of Blount's here in Tampa. He has the potential to be a true weapon, and I hated to see him go. But it's my opinion, that Schiano isn't the only HC to be blamed for his botched time here with the Bucs. Had he landed as a rookie on a team that gave the structure, coaching and locker room presence to help mold him early on, it would have really improved his career. unfortunately, the circus that ensued corroded him as a professional, and Schiano was either unable or unwilling to connect with and coach him up.

If you say so. Go ask any coach in the league who is the better running back. No one questioned Martin's value last season. But, since he got hurt this year, now LGB is better. Forgive me if I don't buy into that. Martin, LGB, James? I could roll with that but Martin is an every down back and is the better player. The Bucs are exponentially better with him than without. Can't wait to see what Tedford is going to do with him. So wail for Blount all you want. I will be happy watching Dougie torch opposing defenses consistently next season.
Blount is a great running back. Got rid of for a garbage can throwaway pick( to date ), because S doesn't know how to coach. Stupid toes on line. Blount > Schiano.
Martin is better than Blount period. But we gave Blount a good player, away for nothing.
True, but Blount didn't go on the trading block the day he was traded. There were 30 other teams who didn't feel his was worth more than that 7th rounder – right or wrong. Perfect system, accountability and leadership for him up there. And that offensive line played a tad better than the one down here. Personally I liked Blount, a decent locker room guy. But there were other issues the guy had here. And Schiano didn't make the call 100 percent by himself and it was done with the owners agreeing.
