The last two Buccaneer coaching staffs have done a lot insofar as providing educations to the fans who are willing to step back and see the differences good coaching offers. Doesn't hurt to have quality teammates who have proven they belong on professional teams either.
Never understood the hate for the guy on here. He's a guy that needed coaching and a system that would make use of him.
Agreed
But also commitment by Blount to excel. That wasn't the case here from Blount. Big difference having Brady holding you accountable than Freeman. Blount went to the perfect situation for him and I am personally happy for him. But this is still a 4-12 team with or without Blount last year.
Would you not agree that good coaches are able to get the best from their players?
No question and that's why they are considered great coaches.
wow he has 4td tonight. and just broke a big run. nah we couldnt use a running back like that. while i think schiano could pick talent , clearly when he didnt like someone....he made sure to drive them out of town. and that is the biggest problem i had with him. We did have some good players here, but he decided to either overlook them (selvie, chandler jones, blount, wallace gilberry,) just to name a few or he would force them out.
Well, what do you expect? He had to make room on the roster for his Rutger rejects.
It just shows how much of a difference coaching makes. I'm holding off judgement on everyone unless they've been here a long time like Joseph, or just look like career 3rd stringers like Daniel Teo'Nesheim. Morris and Schiano were just amateurs. Guys like Gerald McCoy and Lavonte David have broken out despite their poor efforts at leading a coaching staff and establshing a scheme.
Blount last 2 games 250 yards rushing 5 touchdowns. BEASTTTTTT!!!!!!
So what did he have about 500 yards the first 15 games
Splitting the plow with three other horses? And also, learning a REAL playbook. Guy was thrown away, disgustingly so. Schiano and company are fools. Listening to that halfwit Schiano and his sock puppet Dom made me sick. Those guys should be embarrassed to even show their stupid mugs in an NFL capacity.
This board never ceases to amaze me.Why can't everyone just be happy for LGB? I know I am. I'll always be a fan. Good for him.But please, just like with Talib, it was time for him to go. Wasn't Blount the one who constantly missed/was late to meetings, heck even needed a personal Schauffer by the coach? I guarantee you that Blount didn't work as hard here as he does in NE. And yes, that's an indictment on the coaching staff. Also, it's not like we are hurting oh so badly at RB now. We might have the best RB depth in the league. Blount > Martin? Pshh, how short minded some of you are.Martin/James/Rainey. I won't lose any sleep over not having Blount in that rotation. Good for him. Keep rockin big fella!
Oh and last thing, his last 2 big games (colts, bills) have come against piss-poor Defenses. I saw many experts say that Blount should have a big day today, and even Rainey lit up that Bills D.

THIS x 2 million
I don't know if I'm holding out as much hope for Rainey as you are, but I agree. Blount will be a free agent this year anyway. Let's see how he plays next week.
Bucs are fine at RB so I'm not sweating it...altho the poll in this thread indicates Blount just might be better than Adrian Peterson!
I don't think the Bucs are fine at RB.32nd ranked offense explains it all.

The RB's themselves are fine....the playcalling, lackluster play from OL and a regressing rookie QB might have something to do with the ranking.Put any of the top RBs in that offence and the result would not have been much different...

Remind me, how many yards did the Bucs' leading rusher have this season?(Yes, I know, it's because we had to keep swapping them out due to injury. There were mitigating circumstances all around.)
Recall we didn't cut him because he couldn't run. We all knew he could do that it was that we were too "predictable" when he was in the game because he was rock dumb on pass protection. Now I admit not watching closely enough to see if they ever threw when he was in the game but somehow they made it work.

I don't agree because the Bucs currently have a collection of serviceable running backs none that have shown themselves to be consistent.
