Mis use of revis also isn't an arguing point anymore. The guy clearly wasn't 100 percent. Did you want to see him get torched all year? Or better yet, hurt that knee again? Then we would all be pissed that we wasted a 1st and 16 mil.

That's the only thing I'd give you. But why give up a 1st if he's not 100%... Either way you spin it Revis was mis used, if he clearly wasn't 100% then it was a bad trade, and the Jets got 2 really high pick for a damaged player.

I would be very surprised if the Glazers boot Schiano after only 2 years of a 5 year contract. I expect next year to be playoffs or bust...    Look no further than the Falcons for another major collapse. They've gone from a play or 2 away from a Super Bowl berth to 4-10 in 1 year... Can't say their injuries were any worse than ours, TBH. Injuries, tho', are the great equalizer. Teams able to play thru them are very rare and special!

Too many penalties and sloppy play to justify keeping Schiano.  I think he secured another year reaching four wins however others feel differently.  When Gruden reached four wins in 2006 he did receive a mulligan because he was a proven winner at the NFL.  Schiano may not be extended the same courtesy.

I call BS on comparing the Falcons to us.  They were held together with spit and bubblegum coming in.  And Smith is an established and successful coach and you know what?  HE is on the hot seat next year there.  And yet a loser like Schiano is coming back?  Not likely. There is absolutely no reason to think anything better will happen under him next year.  And firing him after two years?  Not a problem.  Has everyone forgotten the media firestorm around him?  He's toxic to keep, not to fire.  They can't roll with him.  They know the fan base hates him and they would have to be absolutely convinced that things WILL get better, not that there is a remote possibility they MIGHT.

Falcons mortgaged their future to build a high powered offense when they should have stuck to an efficient play action offense that Ryan is tailor made for.

lol @ "the fan base hates him"  I remember when the fan base hated Gruden so he had to go.    We are now finishing year 5 of the Glazers "rebuild through the draft plan"  The fan base loved that song and dance.  Gotta love "the fan base".  Glazers should hire "the fan base"

The Bucs will be entering year 6 of rebuilding, with no hope no franchise QB, and a empty stadium."It's a Bucs life"

And yet this is a thread about a coach and not a GM. By the way, the wins this year came at the hands of the coach's QB while the GM's franchise QB is inactive for the Vikes. Makes sense...

In all the Bucs wins they got a gaggle of turnovers to win 2 close games (Mia & Det) & 2 blowout wins.  I don't know if i'd put any wins soley on Glennon. He's looked worse and worse after the ATL game.

While the Glazers do not usually fire coaches after two years and keeping in mind that we do not want to be a bottom feeder like the raiders have been this past decade. The Glazers need and probably will fire Schiano after the year. After this season Schiano will be 11-21 as head coach, which would be a worse record than Morris had over 2 years, that is unacceptable and the fan base most likely will not want to see another year of Schiano. Also what makes anyone think Schiano will get better as a coach when he has not seemed to improve at all since he was hired. Before anyone mentions the money they would have to pay Schiano, one has to remember the Glazers paid Freeman $6 million to go away so I doubt they would have a problem paying Schiano $9 million to go away. To me if the Glazers want to prove to me they are trying to build a winner then they will fire Schiano next monday.

I agree. They gave up too much for Julio when they really just needed to draft a stud TE to eventually replace Gonzalez. That whole trading up to get that one piece that you need is retarded. They are starting Peria Jerry at DL right? He is the worst. Davin Joseph looked like an NFL OG playing against that guy. Common sense dictates that if you are playing a bunch of low grade players you shouldn't trade away a bunch of draft picks for one player (who could get hurt) thinking that one player will overcome all of your other weaknesses. They are just like the Glazers, reactive. They see a bunch of teams scoring outrageous amounts and decide that they need to score the most points so they need that certain player, and who cares about defense because we will be scoring 50 points per game. Wrong! They need to build depth before that will ever work. The Glazers are the same. After Harbaugh comes in from college and has success they decide they are going to find their college coach. Fail! Harbaugh brought in real systems, and real schemes. Schiano didn't do that. He recruited Florida and scheduled weak opponents and still never came close to achieving in 10+ years what Harbaugh did in 5 years at Stanford. Did I mention, fail! But after listening to SR on 98.7 I am sure Schiano is staying at least another year. The front office has to like the amount of talent they have acquired. From the Glazers point of view, I am sure they will be content to weather another year of possible bad football on the field since they are under the impression that Schiano is doing a food job with personnel and he is obviously a very good practice coach or else the rookies and second year players would not be looking so good. Honestly, if he had schemes he would be a good coach. If he would hire autonomous OC and DC I think he would be able to maximise his NFL coaching career. He would have to shift his micromanagement to player development and talent acquisitions and stay away from the schemes and game plans. Highly doubtful that this would ever happen with an egomaniac like Schiano.

Yeah but there is no risk in Schiano moving into Scott's house and sleeping on his sofa if he gets fired.

Falcons bet the farm that Julio Jones was their "missing piece". Too many other pieces fell off the wagon since then, and this year the wheels came off...   Another blockbuster trade that has now reversed itself from last year is the Redskins giving up their farm for QB Robert Griffin. Rams are getting their #1 again THIS year, and could be the top pick.    http://www.businessinsider.com/rams-own-redskins-draft-pick-from-rg3-trade-2013-11
