I am still in shock they were lucky enough to have OJ Howard drop to us...I am also surprised how deep this next round is... Here are the players I think we should grab (in order of priority) that are first round players in most years...
1) Budda Baker- Earl Thomas like talent...Can't teach instincts like this and though he is small, his speed and athleticism is off the chars..
2) Dalvin Cook- enough said... yes there are character concerns but he is a steal in the second round.
3) Alvin Kamara- did you see him on the Sports Science show? What a talent! Great pick for us if available...
4) Kevin King- 6'3 corner who had a great combine plus on-field results. He has the ability to be the top corner in the draft. I love his game and he is Mayock's fifth best corner overall....
5) Chidobe Awuzie- I might even like him more than King. Can play man or zone. Has Ronde Barber blitzing skills (10 sacks in college). This is a very good corner who ran a 4.4 at the combine. Some teams think he could be a stud safety as well.
5) Cam Robinson- I don't think he is our biggest need but you can not ignore the talent. Probably takes Dotson's spot off the bat. Can't lose here.
6) Quincy Wilson- another big corner who (to me) has first round talent.
7) Jourdan Lewis- it is hard to believe that so many good corners are still available in the second round...
8) Zay Jones- one of my favorite players in the draft...Great bloodlines, terrific hands. Good size and ran a 4.4...not sure of any downside at all. Dominated Senior Bowl.
9) Curtis Samuel- 4.3 speed and can line up outside, in the slot and the backfield. Explosive big-time playmaker.
10) Jordan Willis- strong pass rusher...with great explosion numbers at the combine. Perfect fit for the Bucs.
11) Malik McDowell- 6'6 300 lbs...his talent is top 15...his attitude is not. Mixed feelings putting him on this list but his talent is obvious.
12) Tyus Bowser- I think he very likely be the pick. Bucs like him. Licht talked about adding a SLB who can play on 1st and 2nd down and be an edge rusher on third. That is Bowser to a T. Watch him cover as well. Does well in space.
13) Obi Melifonwu- Everyone is familiar with his freakish measurables and combine numbers. He is not as instinctive as Baker but is a good player who makes plays on the ball, solid tackler and can match up with wide receivers and tightends. High upside...
14) Forrest Lamp- I really don't want to go o-line but if he is available he might be too good to pass up. Can play him at RT or move him inside to guard.
15) Justin Evans- Athletic and can cover and hit. Fearless, smart...loves to knock the crap out of people (will probably draw a few flags).
16) Tim Williams- I know, I know...the guy is a serious character risk off the field...but put him on the field and he is a pass rushing monster. So many great pass rushers have a few screws list...maybe take a chance?
17) Chris Wormley- 6'6, 300 lbs..very good college production as a rusher and would be a nice 3T for us. A bit under the radar but well worth a 2nd round pick.
18) Samaje Perine- I really like this guy...I kind of hope he falls into the third round but I am not so sure.
19) Marcus Williams- good size and range...strong free safety prospect who would probably start right away.
20) Fabian Moreau- a little grabby at times but has a lot of ability and could be groomed to eventually replace Grimes...
