And to think some wanted him fired , lol
Schrager has access to NFL resources to dig up draft research. And this is some of what he unearthed about Licht and the Bucs.
* The Bucs have the most total snaps by players it drafted in Rounds 1 through 5 since 2014. “By a mile,” Schrager said.
* The Bucs have the most total games started by its own draft picks selected Rounds 1 through 5 since 2014. “By a mile,” Schrager repeated.
Some like JC are obsessed with firing the guy, but he's not going anywhere anytime soon
Ironically enough, the OP was one of his more vocal critics a little over 3 years ago when he signed a “noodle armed” QB who was “well past his prime” and “didn’t have the arm to operate BA’s offense”.

Without Brady
8-24 with Lovie
19-29 with Koetter
7-9 with Arians
Missed draft picks in the 1st-2nd round
#1 Winston
#5 White
#11 Hargreaves
#19 Howard
#38 ASJ
#39 Noah Spence
#50 Justin Evans
#53 MJ Stewart
#59 Robert Aguayo
#64 Kyle Trask
Be careful claiming victory at 3-1 when two of the teams we beat are combined 1-7.

classic
even the strawman at the end
Is he the best GM? No. But he certainly deserves to keep his job.
Not quite Baltimore or Philadelphia level but he also isn’t jets, Cleveland, Detroit level either
winning a superbowl buys him time. Only caveat would be if a high level coach were to join us and want his own say (ie Gruden back in the day)
but if we stay with Bowles or his replacement being a first time coach, would think Jason job is safe
I am surprised JC didnt go on some rant about Jensen . . especially when there is news on Jensen. This is Licht:
"“It’s awesome to have Ryan in [the O-line meetings) because he is rubbing off. He understands you have to have a tone-setter. Everybody thrives off of that.”
That loud noise you heard wasn't your cell phone, its was JC blowing a fuse.

Dear God...the lame never ends.
Donkey boi , saying something doesn’t make it true , I never seen someone make shit up like you .
Yeah! Who could possibly think such a thing!?!?!?
Lichts job is more than drafting players. He is at the helm. The Glazers surely love the guy for the way he’s run their business.
it’s just that would-be GM fans focus on the drafting of specific players and not the Super Bowl, the TV coverage etc.
Never thought Licht was the guy in charge of drafting anyway. He has always let his head coaches hand pick their players to fit their system. He let his defensive and offensive coaches influence the draft. The difference now is that we hired a smart defensive mind who has an eye for DB talent in Bowles who we brought in Dean/SMB/Edwards/Winfield.
As years prior when Mike Smith was around we had all those draft duds...

The biggest lies are the ones you tell yourself, Phillywise.
You dragged him multiple times over the signing.

I think you’re right about Licht and it’s a credit to him.

Didn't you also say Wirfs would need to move to be guard in the NFL to fulfill his potential and that he shouldn't be drafted to play tackle? Now he's arguably the best tackle in the game at either position, lmao.
