At OT you have Paris Johnson, Broderick Jones, Anton Harrison, Darnell Wright.

At OG you have Skoronski, Schmitz, Torrence. Although most have Skoronski at OT, I think his comp is Zack Martin. If he's there I think we have to take him and make it work but I don't think he's going to be there.

My favorite is Anton Harrison. He has the best feet. Just a tremendous athlete. Him and Wirfs together for a 10+ years would be ideal for a young QB coming in next year. Trade up?

Paris Johnson reminds me of Donovan Smith actually. Broderick Jones is a big mauler, better in the run game. Darnell Wright I like but just like Harrison better

The best of the OT's will be gone by the Bucs pick at 19.

Gotta remember wirfs was the 4th OT taken and it’s turned out alright.  Harrison is all over the mock drafts, but it would be great to get a real LT.  Wright seems like the guy most pundits think will be there.  If they think wirfs can switch to the left and goedeke is a future starter then Torrence would be a good curveball.

I just hope they throw some high picks at the line.   But we desperately need a pass rush and DB help.

I'd rather trade up for a true LT like Harrison instead of moving guys all over the place. Harrison at LT and Wirfs at RT would make things alot easier going forward.

I think we're in a great spot to get a good tackle in the 1st. The mock community has had a 'big 3' in Paris, Broderick Jones and Skoronski for a long time but that narrative seems to be going away as we get closer to the draft. Seeing a lot more Anton Harrison, Darnell Wright and O'Cyrus Torrence in the first and it wouldn't surprise me at all if the order isquite a bit different than what media has guessed so far. I really like both Harrison and Wright, although my preference would be to go LT so we can keep Whirfs on the right side and Godeke inside. But I'm fine with going BPA Oline. The way Licht and Bowles are talking about the group it seems like they are targeting the position early and looking for a starter.

I still think this is going to be a transition year before a round 1 QB next year so by all means build the Oline.

Beyond tackle, DB is our most obvious need and we all know how Licht loves, and has been pretty successful, drafting round 2 DBs so that works out great. I want Edge too, invest in the lines!, but I think the team like Anthony Nelson, is expecting Shaq back, and is hoping JTS takes a leap. Even if all 3 are question marks I can't see them adding a first rounder to that mix. Targeting it in the 3rd/4th along with another TE in supposedly the best TE class in a decade would be my ideal strategy.

@buc780 - I agree with most of your message. I just feel targeting an outside pass rusher that late is basically saying we’re adding depth for down the road. Gotta go 1st round for an OLB. We have a much better chance of drafting a starting OT in the 2nd round. And we can find a starting safety in the 3rd or 4th round.

I’m down with this. Two guys playing without experience at their respective tackle positions sounds like a recipe for disaster.

I'd rather trade up for a true LT like Harrison instead of moving guys all over the place. Harrison at LT and Wirfs at RT would make things alot easier going forward.

Who cares?

Without Scotty Miller we are screwed!

oh and Licht isn’t going to draft OL or DL because he’s just trying to field last years team because they would’ve won it all without Brady

sincerely,

D Smith

I think Licht trades up for LT.  The Bucs can't afford to be playing musical chairs with the OL. In an ideal world you move Wirfs to LT, Jensen to one of the guard spots, Hainsey into center and draft a RT.  That leaves one of the guard spots for the rest of the current iOL to compete for.

But reality is that the team probably leaves Jensen alone at center, has Hainsey and other compete at both guard spots, leave Wirfs at RT and then draft a true LT.

True, it was only one game, but I liked Goedeke at right tackle last year. I believe it was the position he played in college. I wouldn't mind seeing what he can do for at least a year and address OL next draft, while concentrating on DL this draft.

And if you are at the end of a run of top tier OTs do you want the last one left?  Do they fit what you want?  Licht will not draft a specific position.   He'll draft best player available if there's a starting position open for them. So I could see them drafting a TE or a couple other spots.  They want to be able to put that guy in there right away.  Of course they will be watching the OTs, but they won't be locked into that in the first round.  I could see a trade down if they don't see the guy they like there.

Not a big fan of Broderick Jones or Paris Johnson. Johnson is too finesse for my liking and Jones technique is kind of sloppy to me in pass protection. Wright is my favorite prospect out the group. He's just as nasty as Jones in run blocking and has better pass protection technique albiet being a RT. I just feel safer knowing he's going to be a stud from day 1. Harrison is a pipe dream I think that kid will go top 10. But if he falls I'd consider him as well.

So why not trade up? I'm at the point where I believe the top 3 positions in football right now are QB, OT, OT. Harrison is a stud, lets get him.

If it the price isn't too steep then sure. Add some 2024 compensation if need be.
