There will always be news that comes out of the NFL owners meeting, which is currently going on out in Arizona. Last year, Mike Williams was the topic. This year? Several roster topics. On Monday Jason Licht, via Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, talked about the No. 1 draft pick, the offensive line, and safety Dashon Goldson. And as for that first overall selection, Licht said that team is moving towards a consensus with the selection.

As well as what the team will do with Goldson. But perhaps the most important issue at hand is finding a quarterback for the future.TheBayCave.com once supported Mike Glennon. In fact, he may very well still have a future. But that future is not in pewter. The future is in Jameis Winston (or maybe even Marcus Mariota for the sake of not continuously beating the same drum). The Bucs just hosted Winston and Mariota at their team headquarters and it is obvious what there intentions are — and that is drafting a quarterback.TBC has gathered information since November on how they may approach the draft. Not only have sources close to the team penned Winston as the top choice, but several media sources and others from around the league are telling TBC all signs point to the Bucs drafting the quarterback out of Florida State.So what is the consensus Licht is referring to? Could it be the national consensus on several mock drafts? We don’t know. Perhaps the consensus Licht means is they will decide on a quarterback.We’ll know more in the next five weeks.link
