I just think the trade down makes too much sense. You can see a lot of scenarios where if we aren't infatuated with a QB or think we don't need one that things could fall very badly to us at 7.
The problem with trading down is everyone realizes how deep this draft is and won't want to give up picks

Bingo. Unless you are absolutely in love with a guy, stand pat and take BPA.

Sure, but there are "move around" teams who think they can recoup them later and/or teams with loaded rosters who are missing a key part or two. Teams fall in love with players and become irrational.
Think about a team like San Francisco - they have 12 picks, and the roster is way to loaded to make the best use of them. I could see them moving up for someone like Sammie Watkins.
Cards need a QB... it could happen. Also - Cards running a 3-4 If so Barr and Mack would be candidates.maybe, just freakin' maybe things will work out for the Bucs in the draft. C'mon - one time. :)

well it worked out good the last 2 years. Baron, David, and Martin in one draft. and 1st pick for Revis, then Banks, and a DT who started as a rookie in 4th. cant complain about those
Don't get me wrong - not complaining about our last two... just want to get some more players in a very deep draft.

We wouldn't know until after, usually our pick is when they cut to commercial.. on every network, every round, every year.

Regardless of thoughts on Glennon, grabbing the top rookie QB in the 3rd round bolsters that record as well.

They probably feel really comfortable with the WR talent that will be available when they pick
Sure, MH. But again, they have more picks than they can absorb. If they think someone (and it doesn't have to be a WR) is a 9, and the next guy at that position is a 7.5, they've got the ammo to get the 9. I think sometimes the nature of the offseason (as a fan) - which is about molding players into a consensus board that incorporates all 32 teams - makes us forget that teams have real and very strong preferences for specific players and specific player types. The Falcons traded a 2nd and 4th in 2011 and 1st and 4th in 2012 to go up and get Julio Jones. Had they stayed put, they could have taken Torrey Smith (he nearly fell to their round 2 pick) or Randall Cobb (he fell past their round 2 pick). Julio Jones is better than both, but is he better than those guys plus 4 players? Falcons thought he was. They also thought they were "one player" away. So things that don't make a ton of sense happen all the time in the draft.
Touche
I do generally agree though - MH. Not necessarily the easiest year to trade down. Have to have the right players fall around us, and have to be aggressive to do it.
everybody wants to trade down, i'm tired of not having a QB. trade up and get Bridgewater or Manziel!!!
If Derek Carr is "the guy"...we are pretty f**ked
Carr =the QB who ran almost the same 40 time as Manziel and Kaepernick , yet stands in the pocket like his feet are encased in concrete. Dude has no escapability or pocket instincts.
