We're 13 games in so its nearly a wrap. Let's do the math:
Acquisitions:
* JPP has been extremely good (and was a great trade for a 3rd rounder...see Cappa).
* Nassib was an absolute no-brainer precisely because our DE cabinet was utterly bare.
* Unrein never played a down (concussion issues blew up in our face).
* Beau Allen has been a rotational player with minor measurable impact.
* Curry has had a lot of downs and a few ups.
* Jensen is the highest paid Center in the league (a cap number that we can't get rid of which will negatively impact us in 2019) and has been one of the worst Centers in the league and killed many drives (some pivotal) with penalties.
Draft:
* Traded back in the 1st round to attain multiple picks. You can't possibly screw this coup up.
* 1st round pick missed the first 3 games, has 1 game where he was absolutely dominant, 3 games where he was solid, and 6 games where he was underwhelming.
* 2nd round RB has contributed nothing and been injured (with major opportunity cost involved in this pick).
* 2nd round CB Stewart has played poorly when in and been injured (with major opportunity cost involved in this pick).
* 2nd round CB Davis shows promise but has also dealt with injuries
* 3rd round OG Cappa can't supplant one of the worst starting OGs you will ever see in the NFL.
* 4th round SS Whitehead has shown promise but he has had a LOT of problems in run support (forget the big licks).
* 5th round WR Watson shows promise but isn't a contributor right now.
* 6th round LB Cichy, whose primary issue was injury concerns, went out for the season as soon as he got on the field as a LB.
5 picks in the first 3 rounds and not a single impact player for 2018. 14 players acquired total and only 2 contributors toward winning football.
I don't want Licht anywhere near the 2019 offseason. All of the other FA misses and 2016 was bad enough
