What is the Bucs thought process? "OK, Goedeke sucked as a guard, so we switched him to right tackle where he did well. So we solved the right tackle problem. Now lets switch him back to guard where he sucked so we can spend a higher draft pick to take a tackle! Yeah, that's the ticket!

alternatively, JC is just setting up his next, after the fact “I would’ve done it differently” argument. lol.
Goedeke has become a great RT - why would we draft a tackle when we need a C/G?
If we did something like that, it would More likely be for a former tackle, and in the later rounds, and he’d be a developmental guy that Licht would want to move inside.
IF we did something like that, I would think it would be a fail-safe/worst case scenario.
@white-tiger offensive tackle is probably the last position we need or certainly up there. Maybe besides kicker or punter.
I forgot Red Board is low level thinking so I'll break down my thought process as elementary as possible for you guys.

Goedeke sucked at guard as a rookie because he wasn't ready to play in the NFL. Not because he can't play guard. His frame and skill set is perfect for guard, that's why he was placed there in 2022. He was moved to RT out of necessity and played it well because he's a good player. I think he would be an A+ guard potentially. He struggles with speed rushers because of his foot speed.
When I evaluated Fashanu I had a top 6-10 grade on him. Now I see him slipping in mocks and it got me thinking.

Low level thinkers think you will not answer the question:
chance the Bucs take him?
low level thinkers can read that it’s asked three times so far
what say “big $ Gm” and President of the “Scotty for HOF” fan club?
Low level thinkers think you will not answer the question:

Trolls like you dont answer question like that (the point) or like these:
1. When does Trask take over for Mayfield? That was your high-level "football acumen" request IN OCTOBER but "your" too embarrassed to admit it
2. Do you still the "playoffs didnt matter "in 2023 because the Bucs were NOT a young team?
3. Do you still think "winning percentage" is the metric, not the Lombardi trophy?
4. Is it your ego or your low level thinking that always leads you into the buzzsaw?
Those are good questions, right? What do you think Mr. Everyone Knows There IS NO batting practice in right field?
MY BET: you dont answer any of them, let alone OWN UP TO THEM . . . especially NOT that one about Trask taking over in October!!
You're assumption is a huge stretch that Goedeke who clearly prefers playing tackle would become an "A" at guard after he sucked there. I don't know how you can come to that conclusion. Bowles: "Hey Luke! Great job at tackle last season! You worked hard and it worked out well for you and the team! But...a...we're moving you back to guard. I know you sucked there but..... you'll do great! A+! See you at OTAs...
Goedeke: "Uh...Great. Why"
Bowles: "I don't know. Just seemed like a good idea! Aren't you fired up about this like I am?"
Goedeke: "Uh... yes?"
Licht's history is spotty but he is very good at finding depth/gems in the later rounds. I would be surprised if we go anything other than corner, unless something freakish happens and one of the top WRs falls to later in the draft. Another caveat would be that OL (hyphenated last name Powers from Oregon) is available, we'd take him for sure.

I clearly stated what the why is. You already had a fixed mindset and didn't want to or couldn't process what I wrote.
What you wrote is incorrect. If they thought Goedeke was better at guard they'd have kept him at guard. They didn't move him to tackle just because they needed a tackle. According to you, the Bucs needed to fill a right tackle spot. So they took a guy who's natural position is guard. He wasn't even very good at that. So they moved him to tackle just because they needed a tackle. It wasn't because he would be better at tackle. It was just because they needed a guy there. And now they have a guard spot to fill when they could have just kept Goedeke there. I guess you're right, I can't process that. You're assumption is a huge stretch that Goedeke who clearly prefers playing tackle would become an "A" at guard after he sucked there. Not necessarily. Wirfs wasn't moved to LT because they thought he would be better there.
They didn't move him to tackle just because they needed a tackle.
That actually is why they moved him to RT. Again, Wirfs was moved to LT just because they needed a LT.
Luckily, both moves worked out.
Bucs - “Goedeke took over at right tackle during the Bucs' Week 18 regular-season finale at Atlanta and had a productive outing. He made the most of the opportunity, garnering a decision from the coaching staff post-draft to move Goedeke full-time to right tackle.”
So they took a guy who's natural position is guard
He’s a tackle but they put him at G. He lost his spot but then played well last game of that season at RT
“We are excited about how Luke (Goedeke) did for us at tackle there at the end of the year — it’s his natural position,” Licht said.
