I would hate for the bucs to waste high draft picks on a linebacker other than jihad campbell. I feel like there is a drop off after him in the quality. And feel he is the only one that could also play edge due to his strength and size. I hope we dont draft a lb too early if he is not there. I still say edge (post reddick) and def line are big priorites. We need 4 studs at the def line position vea, kancey, hall and who?? I would be happy if we went jihad, edge, and DL for are 1st 3 picks. Then wr and 2 corners round 4,5, and 7. Any thoughts? Under the stip that we keep Dean and or sign a decent vet cb.

Also would anyone oppose if a too good to be true guard is there to draft him instead and have Bredeson as quality 6th man. I think are off line is one impact guard away from being the clearly #1 off line in the nfl for many years provided we keep these guys together. The envy of the league with a big stud guard and the other 4 we have.

You need to differentiate edge vs LB.

We need a MLB more than anything.

I'm not a huge fan of Campbell but I see the upside.

I feel like these SEC defenses are absolutely stacked with talent so I can't properly evaluate these players.

Knight out of SC is my target if we go that route.

I'd prefer to go BPA with first pick then draft by need later.

I am under the impression that Jihad would be trained to be an inside LB if we get him,,but with the flexibility to use on the edge on occasion .

If available, I'm taking Ezeiruaku (even if Campbell is still on the board). If not, trade back and pick up an extra 2nd or 3rd.

Would most likely still be able to snag Schwesinger in the 2nd.

Can go CB or DL afterwards.

I have to evaluate more but Campbell checks a lot of boxes however it seems his diagnosing is a little slow.

i think Nic Scourton is going be really really good

The Bucs look like they are lining things up to take a MLB early in the draft. I just would not pass on Edge- Ezeiruaku. He’s special. And the signing of Reddick doesn’t make our Edge room a top position group.

Reddick is only signed for a year.  He gets to reset his career, and the Bucs get a year to draft and develop an edge rusher.  But I think the linebacker comes first.  They need the quarterback of the defense with speed and tackling ability as well as instincts - the player  they thought they were  drafting with Devin White.  And this will be David's final year.

And, we can find that guy outside of R1.

If Denis and LVD are the presumed starters than Licht will look for value with a LB to develop in round 3 or 4.  Same at CB if Dean sticks around.  Now, if the Bucs FO and coaches do not believe in Dean or Denis then CB or ILB jump up to priority in round 1 or 2.

Realistically though Edge is still a priority because you need a rotation so I think they still go edge in round 1.  Hall is on his last year of his contract and maybe Licht is looking ahead for 2026.  But honestly that can wait till the later part of the draft to address as it is a deep draft at DL and interior OL.

was thinking about this scenario as well, almost has me thinking Licht could trade #19 and still pick up the ILB we need.

Interdasting.

I’m seeing many post-FA Frenzy mock drafts now having both Mike Green and Ez available at 19. This would be a dream scenario for the Bucs. I’m starting to feel (and some national pundits agree) that TB might take Ez even over green.

That said, there just isn’t value for a MLB in rnd1. We did it with White, but Campbell isn’t the prospect White was, and we all know how that experiment ended. If there’s an edge available at 19, that’s the pick.

I see R2/R3 to be CB and LB one way or another depending on who they like. Safety also an option if they like one better than a CB, moving Tykee back to CB.

Yeah I am good with Green or Ez @19.  That would be amazing.

Ez over Green would be a disaster. I have Green as my #1 edge over Abdul Carter. I have Scourton an entire round ahead of Ez
