I would be interested to hear some insight about the overall climate of the locker room with the current team.   Clearly, with recent coaching and key player departures, the dynamic is forever shifting, but from an outsider's perspective, this seems to be a really good culture being built in Tampa.   In my mind, not a small factor when it comes to the success of recent draft picks being able to come in and find their spot and relative playing time.   It really seems like the organization has emphasized the right type of person, along with the necessary mix of talent, and I would love to hear some more insight.

I don't post much, but I love to read the content on this site - always appreciate the insider views and opinions of PR and its members.   Looking forward to a great season, and hope the Bucs continue to be underestimated!

@donkey_hunter Several players from the Brady era, along with a number of coaching positions.  Despite multiple personnel changes since 2021, the team has remained competitive.

i mean the chemistry in our peak days of 2020, 2021 was unreal with Fournette, Gronk, Evans, etc.

I'd say Evans and Mayfield have some good chemistry.  One can hope that Barton and Wirfs dominate for years to come.

winning generally builds chemistry.  we have been a pretty average team the last 2 years albeit did make the playoffs 2 years so that is keeping it together.  Add in a 6-11 season this year and that chemistry will go out the door

but 11 wins and maybe we build on something here

My bad.

I thought you were referring to this past offseason and not over the course of the past few years.

Two very different TEAMS even with a lot of overlap in players.

The 2022 team was limping to the end, quite a few players mailing it in. In short, underperforming.

The 2033 was ascending at the end and arguably over performing.

this season should be very interesting

A lot of the drafted players in 2022 were thrust into action due to injuries and vet signings failing.  So that was a silver lining as those 2022 rookies actually showed more growth in 2023.

Goedeke, White, Otton, Camarda, and McCollum took huge steps forward in 2023. Throw in a very promising 2023 rookie class and a new identity for this team and lockerroom is forming. Still have several players from the SB squad too which is a nice bonus.

Very good locker room I would say and if the 2024 draft class shows up that would make for a very cohesive locker room with three draft classes and SB veterans thrown in.

I would imagine that Deven Thompkins would no longer be welcomed back into the lockerroom.

Arians on Bowles

"Fantastic" Ariens said. "The way he pulled that team back together last year was just amazing.

the defense salvaged the season (x2) against the 2 win panthers

first, dropping to 4-7, and 1-6 in their last 7 games; they won 21-18

then after coming out flat against saints, a banged up baker, they dominated in a 9-0 win.

the 3 game stretch between those games though were led by Canales, baker and the offense averaging 31 points per game.

bowles seat is cold to enter the season, but could turn warm to hot as the season progresses with that schedule

I thought it was interesting because of the statement that he "pulled the team back together" after 2022.  And in the same article, Arians says they only really talk when they need to even though Arians is still part of the team.

For better or worse, Bowles has moved the team into being his team. He has moved on from the Arians coaching staff.
