- Don't want to sound hyperbolic, and it's not just one quarter against a bad Jets oline, but he's a bust. He's too tall to play DT, not strong enough or quick at all. He brings nothing to the dline.
Hall looks invisible out there.
We knew this was a bad pick. He traded back because what he wanted didn't fall... and wouldn't trade up.
This is just a bad pick true and through.
I never was a fan of the pick. I preferred to sit tight and take George Karlaftis.
Hall has been a big disappointment thus far.
His college film didn’t even look good. He always played with his pad level too high. Everyone keeps saying he’s starting on the Dline this year. That’ll be a huge mistake or won’t last long.
Todd Bowles says 2nd-year DL Logan Hall has really been getting comfortable in the system and has been much more stout in the run game. Bowles likes where Hall is at the moment.
Most likely will end up as a bust. Don't see any power or elite quickness that makes him special. His pad level is horrible as well.
Some dlinemen take a few years for the light to come on. If I remember correctly, Sapp was an upgrade but not all pro his first two years. Problem is, Bowles doesn’t have a lot of time.
The Jets worked an alley and seal block against Hall which allowed RB Abanikanda to gain big yardage when backed up on their own endzone. If I am mistaken let me know but Hall may be showing his stout against the run in practices but he isn't disengaging blocks to challenge ball carriers on the weakside of offensive formations. And I have yet to see Hall generate pressure using his frame or power like Gholston did in both pre season games against the Steelers and Jets.
At practice on Wednesday, Bowles announced Hall as a starter on the defensive line. The decision not only shores up another training camp battle, but is the biggest endorsement that Hall has received since the Bucs drafted him No. 32 overall back in 2022.
“You don’t have to teach him right now. He knows everything and we like where he’s at,” Bowles said.
In my opinion, he doesn’t remain the starter after a few weeks into the season. Bowles is trying to build his confidence, as he is with JTS as well. Their play will either solidify their starting reps or not. Remember JTS was getting less reps than Nelson and Nassib by the end of the season last year.
Few weeks? Dude, did you see how long this head coach took to pull Goedeke from the starting line-up? I'll give Bowles 8 weeks before he decides to make starting line up changesIn my opinion, he doesn’t remain the starter after a few weeks into the season.
