Ha ha ha ha ...... I am laughing at all the people who said, "Dude, FA hasn't even started yet," last THURSDAY when I said this was exactly the FA we were going to have. Unbelievable.
I want to say that I am actually not against any of the FA signing we have done. All these guys are decent rotation guys. Its not what we have done... its what we haven't done that concerns me. As things currently stand we have maybe just barely upgraded our roster... by 5-10% at most.
We still have no left guard, no right guard or center (depending on where you want to play Marpet), no starting safety (to play next to Evans), and no starting CB (to play across from Grimes). And, I'm not sure our D-line is actually any better than last year's. I honestly don't think either of the two D-lineman we've signed are as good as Baker (who isn't very good).
I really hope I have been wrong all this time. I hope that Licht at least signs the top remaining O-lineman and CB. If he does that, then he will at least grade a C for this FA period. Right now, he grades an F. We had the 4th highest cap-space and expendable - yet very tradable - assets. And, the best he has come up with is bringing back the same players we lost with last year... along with a mid-tier PK and 2 depth D-Lineman.
