It's just smart really. Hire people you believe it and let them do their job. I get the attention to detail thing people have but you only have so much attention to give. A HC should be focusing on the biggest and most important aspects of the team and let your assitant coaches fill in the holes. Schiano got so caught up in other areas that this team seemed extremely unprepared. Instead of making water available for drinking he made people drink to bottles, which is fine with me, but if he lost focus for even a second to check and see if the guys were drinking those two bottles, he's missing much more important things.
