If Lovie is the Savior everyone seems to think he is, he should be able to adjust and scheme for the talent he has.
He also needs a MLB with some pop sledding downhill, and some agility and speed (athleticism). Foster is simply not that guy, IMO.
Yeah not nearly athletic enough or fast enough....Brees pick 6 here http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2013091510/2013/REG2/saints @buccaneers?icampaign=GC_schedule_rr#menu=highlights&tab=recapNot down hill enough either http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wrco1GG1Chk

This.
I don't know if a "stud MLB" is needed. Would anyone quantify Shelton Quarles as a "stud MLB"?
Pro Bowler. stud probably isn't the right word for him but he was a good fit.

Exactly my thoughts. He should be able to use Revis to his strengths and the many other talented players we have. The idea of getting Jared Allen at any cost is scarey for a couple reasons. Besides a QB, no other player is any where near that important. Especially when you consider we're already paying Revis top 10 QB money.
I've never watched him play, but could Khalil Mack be a MLB?
Mase always kind of reminded me of London Fletcher. London Fletcher was always what he was he got better when he got older. I think mas is the same way. No need to spend a top pick or top money on a luxury mlb when he already have a solid one that has gotten better every year since being in the league.
off course there is no urgency for a MLB... you can win alot of games with an average MLB, Foster isn't a liability... we have bigger needs but there is two reason that could make the position worth a look in the draft:1. Free Agency market and draft for MLB doesn't looks good in 2015.2. Foster is a FA next year... and could be the best MLB on the market... (bad news if you don't want to overpay for him!)IMO we should take a look at the position... we need depth at LB if we cant resign Watson, Casillas and Hayward!maybe not Mosley but some 3rd day prospect: Andrew Jackson, Yawin Smallwood, Max Bullough, James Morris...another guy i like(projected udfa), Utah LB/DB Brian Blechen...
Mase is the man. One of the best young backers in the league. Coverage is not his strong suit, but it's not like he's garbage in it. I wouldn't mind if they drafted Mosley and moved Foster outside. But they are not getting rid of him.
I like Foster but he is definitely below average in coverage. He started strong in run support but he was a missed tackle machine after the first few games
There's only one real standout ILB in this draft...& that's Mosley. Not worth the pick at 7, but if we trade back could be a worthwhile grab in the mid-teens.But I agree with what has been said before....we have bigger holes to fill. Primarily DE & OG.

Respectfully, almost every standout ILB in the NFL wasn't a standout prospect going into the draft. Many were 2nd and 3rd round picks. I can't say for sure there will be one available this year, but there's certainly a good chance the next Sean Lee, NaVorro Bowman, Daryl Washington, or DeMeco Ryans will be there. Heck, Lavonte David wasn't a standout prospect.
Lol @ all this faith in Lovie, yet all this hate for the talent. If Lovie is that big of a difference maker than Foster, Bowers, Clayborn, and L Johnson should all be adequate. If you are picked in the top 3 rounds then the talent is there. Now it's up to the great Lovie to maximize that talent.
haters gonna hate...mase is the fucking man!!!
haters gonna hate...mase is the **CENSORED**ing man!!!
Exactly. Some people are just looking for their new whipping boy.
