After this depressing season, I wanted to share one positive: Luke Goedeke's PFF grades have improved dramatically over the course of the season. He was absolutely awful (grades averaging in the 40s, with a season-average grade of 44 overall and 41 in pass blocking) until he was benched, but then played very well as a right tackle a few weeks ago against Atlanta (an overall grade of 64, with a 70 pass-blocking grade) and played very well again at LG in the playoff game against Dallas (an overall grade of 67 with a pass blocking grade of 77). It seems Luke used his time on the bench to study film, practice technique, and improve. It seems he has turned the corner, unless he just faced bad opponents in Altanta and Dallas, which I doubt.  Let's hope that persists into next season.

I thought he improved as well. He got thrown into the fire out of the gate with Jensen’s injury and wasn’t ready. But he did look better later in the year. Hopefully that progression continues next season.

get rid of donovan, switch tristan to left tackle, put goedeke at right, where hes used to, leave shaq at rg, leave leverett at lg, and let hainsey and jensen compete for center

Yes I agree.  If Goedeke could play right tackle that would be huge, even if he was just another guy in the mix.  Hainsey can play guard.  We should still draft a tackle IMO.  Goedeke wasn't supposed to be ready.  We knew when he was drafted that he was a tackle in college.  But he got thrown into the fire out of necessity.  That trial by fire will help him to be more ready for action next year hopefully.

You do not move Wirfs to LT. He is an all-pro RT and its not worth losing that. Both tackle positions are equally as important in todays NFL. Find a LT and get rid of Smith.

You were one of the most vocal, dipshit.

You didn’t start singing his praises until he was moved to RT.

Receipts are a bitch, you puss.

Going from 40 to 60 grade is an improvement but he's still bottom half of the league.

But Cappa was bad early too and improved so maybe he figures it out.
