awful if he goes elsewhere. you‘ve got to keep lavonte here
not as awful as with derrick, our greatest ever, but there are those very few identification players you cant let go tht easy
I’m more concerned the Bucs will be losing Dean , young talented CB . Mike Edwards another who will be walking that I like
Yet, LVD is better than both.
Homegrown and future Canton inductee.
If he wants to finish his career here, you make it happen.
@donkey_hunter “is”? That’s a very subjective word.
based on? His 2022 season? 2021?
sure. Absolutely. Do the Bucs care about the past? Nope. They’re more worried with the present & future.
is lvd part of our future? If he is for another year or 2. Tops.
dean. Edwards. These players are in or entering their primes. 4-5 year deals.
it’s a what have you done for me lately league.
David may fall off a cliff in 2023. He may not. He wont be the same player he was in 2021 or even 2022.
nor will Evans. Their best days are behind them both. Not the case for Edwards or dean.
prioritize young players with upside.
not legends based on their past. Sapp left. Lynch left. It happens. It’s a business.
Bucs are soft tanking this year. No way i see them throwing $15M a year at Dean similar to CD.
i'd be surprised if they made many mid level free agent signings to be honest.
Still feel David has a chance. they probably gave him a figure they would be willing to go but ultimately he will be able to get more on the market, so it becomes a question do you want to go 7-10 with the Cleveland Browns or 4-13 with your Tampa Bay Buccaneers?
I’m not into the feel good stories , keeping a guy around because fans love him ,
he can retire a buc when he is done playing elsewhere

It's called keeping a guy because he's still playing at an elite level.
Unlike your boy, Devin.
Try and keep up.
He’s at the end of the road , move on now don’t wait until he is toast completely
End of the road, yet still playing at a far higher echelon than any other LB on the team.
You want to get rid of a LB so bad, you should be hoping they trade your boy.
I’d rather see White go. Not worth the future contract he’ll demand. LVD is definitely approaching the end of the line, but he’s also still the best LB we have especially from a consistency standpoint. I’d prefer to see white moved so that some of that money can be used to lock up other position groups. Of our 23 FA the only ones I’d really like to see back are David,Nassib,And Ryan. I’d like Dean too but I know it’s not feasible given CD24 contract last year as well. As for Jensen he is a tone setter. Our OL had lost all of its edge once Marpet left, and Jensen went down. If David ultimately does end up leaving town, along with the others hopefully they will sign for big money, and play well enough elsewhere so that we can get some comp picks back in return
I think Licht I'd caught in no man's land. Enough talent to try to squeak into the playoffs but not enough cap space to improve.
I'd love to keep them all but if Dean, LVD, Edwards etc all walk then our 2024 draft will be absolutely stacked with comp picks to move up.
Licht buried us with his hubris picks the last 2 years... Trask, a punter, Julio/Gage in a run first offense, Vaughn, overpaying players because they had a nice 8 game stretch.
He lost sight of the forest for the trees.
And lololol at whomever said Evans best days are behind him. He is still in his prime. His "down year" is what most teams would kill for in a wr1... in an offense that ignored him...with a qb that had his own slump and issues..with a coordinator that was completely lost, in a offense with no identity mired with injuries.
Evans still had very good number less the td regression (because Lefty took the fade out of the play book after week 1).
Anyone trashing Evans doesn't know jack shit.
