Early on questions about his work ethic and professionalism.
Two TDs versus the Raiders though and it should've been THREE.
Go watch the Otton INT play. Mayfield doesn't throw the ball for some reason, but they are running verticals and MacMilan is open for the TD. Its not even close. He destroyed his defender.
Is he the real deal or just weak competition?
I think it's just Mayfield finding the open receiver. I don't remember McMillan making an amazing catch or breaking a tackle. Good for him running good routes, getting open and not dropping the ball, but I didn't see any jump ball catching or toe tapping or tackle breaking. So good job but I don't see what all the hubbub is about.

Mayfielld actually fails to find MacMillan on the play I reference, but I get the point.
I think you can see a bit of the thought behind the "hubbub" if you watch his move route to get open on the OTTON INT. No toe tapping or wrestling a ball away, but good solid separation
Well I'm glad he is improving, but it's one game. Before that he was getting lost in the shuffle even when Evans and Godwin were both out.I think it's just Mayfield finding the open receiver.

Well he had a pulled hammy
i mean, he seems like JAG to me.
too early to tell long term. i mean Godwin wasn't anything great his rookie year and came on later in the year - 34 rec, 525 yards and 1 touchdown

Godwin was exciting to watch as a rookie running routes. McMillan at times impresses me with his routes along the sidelines that he runs.
Hate that we have to rely on a rookie who typically has performed like a rookie. Came from a good program and hopefully has improved - he’ll have to to take some pressure off of Mike.
I just don’t think McMillan’s body is NFL ready yet - he needs another season in the weight room - but he has some ability. If he can stay healthy he could be a real asset for Mike to get loose. Mike has to have some help from JMac, the running backs, and Otton down the stretch.
• Bucs' Jalen McMillan was perfect in Week 14:McMillan created separation on all nine of his opportunities in Week 14.
impressive.
5 for 75 and a TD
against a good D
hes definitely a rookie (that penalty!) but he’s got some game.
Imagine how scary this offense will be with three good WRs. Just missing that third WR at the moment.

like a healthy Godwin playing for a contract . . wow, this offense would be unstoppable

wonder if that talk about him coming back for playoffs is in play or would it be more like Vita in our Super Bowl run if we go deep in playoffs

Yep.
Godwin should be out there.
Damn shame we unnecessarily lost him due to coaching malpractice.
