Johnny Manziel thinks it's a bad idea to rename the Texas A&M football stadium after him USA Today Sports10 minutes ago via RSSJff_Zpsd23D15B2.JpgJoe Maiorana-USA TODAY Sports Not even Johnny Manziel approves of a plan to name Texas A&M’s stadium after him. The newly drafted Browns quarterback told Fox Sports Ohio that he thinks a Texas A&M regent’s idea to rename the field ‘Kyle Field: The House that Johnny Built,’ is a bad one. From Fox Sports Ohio: “I didn’t do (it) on my own,” Manziel said. “I won the Heisman as a freshman and that was a feat that had never been accomplished before, and it was incredible. But at the same time I didn’t do that on my own, I didn’t win that by going out and playing one on 11. “I’m thankful for all those guys who helped me get to this point today and I wouldn’t be there without them. There’s so many people who have factored into why I’m so popular and why I’m so loved at Texas A&M. It’s because I’ve had great teammates and two great coaching staffs that helped me get to where I am today.” Manziel may have a reputation for many things, but being a bad teammate is not one of them. And while it’s doubtful that Texas A&M was going to follow through on an idea to name a stadium after him, it’s probably the best thing he could do to go on record and try to quash that idea.
