Texas A&M’s Johnny Manziel misses layup at Atlanta Hawks gameThe Dallas Morning NewsBy Sean LesterDecember 28, 2013 Texas A&M Aggies quarterback Johnny Manziel participates in a Chick-fil-A Bowl competition during halftime of the game between the Atlanta Hawks and Charlotte Bobcats the second quarter at Philips Arena. (Kevin Liles-USA TODAY Sports) Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel donned the nickname of Johnny Football during his Heisman Trophy winning season in 2012. While the name stuck through the current college football season, it doesn’t appear Manziel will be quickly searching for a change to Johnny Basketball. On Saturday night, with the Aggies in Atlanta for the Chick-fil-A Bowl, Manziel and teammates attended the Atlanta Hawks game. During halftime Manziel had the chance to take part in a layup competition and the result wasn’t comforting for Johnny Football. Manziel missed the layup on his first attempt before banking a close shot off the backboard and in. The Aggie clearly looked frustrated after his miss with the fans in attendance watching as well as his teammates and coaches in the stands. Manziel tweeted his disappointment with his performance Saturday night. Remember, Manziel has confirmed that he can throw down 360-degree dunks at-will and has been known to frequent the A&M Rec Center for pickup basketball games. Manziel had an off night in Atlanta Saturday on the hardwood but Aggie fans are hoping it doesn’t translate onto the gridiron Tuesday when A&M takes on Duke in the Chick-fil-A Bowl. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZsEpGUKmao&feature=player_embedded
Well, manziel stands to make a layup before the bucs beat the saints...
He may turn out to be a decent NFL player, but he has no up's.
I can throw them down too. NBA2K3, set ratings to 99.Bichez
I expect this kid to make more TMZ headlines than ESPN personally.......then again.......ESPN appears to like the off-field drama too
He's the same height as Spud Webb , so if he could dunk that would be impressive.
Sometimes it's hard to make that transition to the pro game...
Please guys (not) Manziel gave his reason for missing.@JohnnyFootbalI: Yeah fuck you @SportsCenter I was half a bottle of vodka deep and some chick flashed me in the second row.

LOLDude has overhyped bust all but written on his nametag. I am glad the Bucs will not be in position to make the decision to draft him or not. And if Schiano is still here, its a lock he goes elsewhere.

That's not his twitter. But I also don't want him. Probably the only benefit to keeping Schiano is that he'd never work with Manziel.
Too bad he didn't pull a Connor Barth....
No to Maziel! Dude screams bust.
Manziel will be good in the nfl. I really hope the bucs pick him.

If your guy Schiano [sarcasm] is still here, no chance in hell. He would never draft a guy like Johnny. Plus, he is not quite over his love affair with Glennon.I think he gets drafted, but slips a bit. Its a hell of a risk drafting him. But some GM will take a shot. Probably some team that already has a franchise QB.
