I think you guys need to figure out who is pissing in your cheerios in the morning.  How about we...I dunno...play a few games before we form a negative opinion on coaches.  Our staff is already night and day better than last year.  Calm the F**K down.

EBy that logic no-one should have any opinion on anything the team does in the off-season. I keep reading how excited people are about the coaching staff and that the team will be light years better next season.  I just think it is just as likely that there are some mistakes being made, why not discuss them?

Discussion is fine, Im all up for that.  Questioning moves, fine.  Assuming someone sucks before they walk in the building...stupid.  Could we be making some mistakes, absolutely.  But how about we let the guy walk in the building before we draw lines in the sand?

chalk this whine fest up to the adhd generation not being able to sit and patiently watch a video that doesn't have flashing lights and sound effects.  agree with notdeadyet - saw and heard a man who takes his job seriously

Considering a big part of his job will be giving sit-down interviews, this doesn't bode well.

and just curious, when was the last time you saw an interview with the QB coach? any team's qb coach? and do you have any evidence that perceived interview skills translate to coaching skill?

Nothing wrong with this guy at all.  Up and comer for certain.  WIll be able to guide and relate to a smart QB.  Dude is going to have one job.Well spoken - rambles a bit in the interview...  obviously doesn't do interviews too often... I see this guy as the mechanics guy for a QB.    Who will spend the time teaching our QB.  Good fit WITH Tedford.Degree in Kinesiology (and sports management)Kinesiology, also known as human kinetics, is the scientific study of human movement. Kinesiology addresses physiological, mechanical, and psychological mechanisms. Applications of kinesiology to human health include: biomechanics and orthopedics; strength and conditioning; sport psychology; methods of rehabilitation, such as physical and occupational therapy; and sport and exercise.[1] Individuals who have earned degrees in kinesiology can work in research, the fitness industry, clinical settings, and in industrial environments.[2] Studies of human and animal motion include measures from motion tracking systems, electrophysiology of muscle and brain activity, various methods for monitoring physiological function, and other behavioral and cognitive research techniques.Been an offensive coach or assistant at 5 school, 11 years experence.Four year Starter QB at San Jose StateWhat the hell's not to like?

Whoa, wait just a second there.  That sounds dangerously close to optimism.  Better watch yourself.

I will say that most position coaches being college guys doesn't bother me.  QB coach with only college experience plus OC with only college experience does bother me some.  Makes having a veteran around to talk to Glennon or R1 boy a bit more important. That said, I thought he came across very well in the interview, seemed to know his stuff and has a lot of experience.

Mechanics is my number #1 concern.  Freeman a 5 year starter still had such issues and Glennon has some cleaning up to do as well as any rookie drafted not named Bridgewater.  Tedford and Arroyo are very meticulous about mechanics (upper body throwing motion and lower body footwork).  I am stoked.

With Tedford here I imagine the QB coach is just a guy who helps with mechanics, creating the drills, and maybe a few tricks/ideas. If Tedford chose this guy than cool.

I'm concerned BUT.......I have to assume that Lovie understands the knock against him and the reason why he hasn't ascended to the elite level of NFL HCs out there....that being his inability to field an offense. That being said, he would definitely scrutinize the position of QB coach. As much as he wanted Tedford, Im assuming has some level of confidence in Arroyo's abiilty. The guy could end up being a steal. Only time will tell.

It really doesn't matter what anyone here thinks. These people impressed Lovie. He is confident enough in their abilities to risk his reputation and livelihood. For the last two years we've had a HC did not command the respect that Lovie does. He led a team to the SB. He has experience, and he undoubtedly has a pretty good idea what the Bucs need to turn things around. I'll trust his judgement until he gives me reason to doubt him. I will always believe Greg Schiano would have fielded a contender had he stayed. Lovie has an experience advantage. He should do even better. Also, he should  make the Bucs more attractive in free agency. The only area that might suffer is drafting. Dominik and Schiano were outstanding in the draft. Great coaches don't become great without great players.
