Marcus Mariota: “It’s just the first game”Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota wasn’t particularly impressed with himself after throwing four touchdown passes in his first career start on Sunday.Mariota had a perfect passer rating of 158.3, but when he was asked what his performance means, he simply said, “It means we’re 1-0.” Mariota than cautioned that no one should overreact to Week One.“It’s a good start for us, but it’s just the first game. We’ve got to continue to get better and not focus on stats,” Mariota said.Mariota said he’s not going to celebrate his first game.“A long time ago, one of my coaches and my dad reiterated that you’ve got to act like you’ve been there before,” Mariota said. “That’s kind of how I’ve always been and will continue to be.”The Titans, 2-14 last season, are now 1-0. With a trip to Cleveland next week, they’ve got a good chance of matching last season’s win total. Titans fans will celebrate that, even if Mariota insists that it’s way too soon to celebrate. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/09/14/marcus-mariota-its-just-the-first-game/#comments
