Addressing the concerns of teams that could draft him, Marcus Mariota has been spending time learning how to huddle and how to call plays in the huddle, since he'll be expected to do that when he gets to the NFL. Mariota says it sounds simple, but it really is a big deal for a QB that isn't used to running a traditional offense. http://www.wsj.com/articles/the-nfl-drafts-quarterback-problem-1430339884 Like Mariucci was saying about Mariota: this is a guy who isn't used to running his offense with his back to the defense and this is going to be a difficult transition for him and something he's going to have to learn how to do... and fast. Being the bright guy that he is, I have no doubt that Mariota is capable of learning how to operate an offense in a more traditional way, including huddling up between plays, taking snaps from under center, and running the offense with his back to the defense.
