Assuming we are interested in signing him and Buffalo are serious about releasing him, would it be worthwhile to trade with them for a late round pick? Gives us the certainty of getting him, we can afford his salary and then can renegotiate while he is a Buc. Seems like it would be win/win as the Bills get a pick instead of nothing.
