The #Bucs are finalizing a deal with former No. 1 overall pick Baker Mayfield, per sources.
Mayfield finished his fifth NFL season strong after landing with the #Rams. Now he gets a chance to take over for Tom Brady in Tampa, and is still only 27.
Former No. 1 overall pick Baker Mayfield reached agreement today on a one-year deal worth up to $8.5 million with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, per sources. Mayfield is now in line to be Tom Brady’s successor.

i mean i agree with you in terms of knuckleheads applauding him over Brady. that is foolish
but i do like the move. cheap, got the talent and best case scenario he figures it out with Evans and Godwin to throw too and we have our answer at QB. worst case, we move on to draft a QB next year.
i think the worst move would have been Bucs taking a QB in the first round THIS year with offensive line that needs work.

Allen also has 4,400+ more passing/rushing yards, 40+ more total TD’s, higher passing TD% per game, lower INT% per game, higher QBR average, higher passer rating average, etc., etc., etc…
