It says a lot about our QB situation when the argument against signing a quality back up is that he might actually beat out our incumbent young guy...SMH
+1I am for bringing in Josh McCown and drafting a QB.
I would also prefer we go the route of FA for a backup. While it's not an overwhelming crop of FA's, I would feel much more comfortable having a vet competing with Glennon or at worst backing him up. I'm not sure it's the best idea to enter into a competition between a 2nd year QB and a rookie. There has to be some veteran leardership/guidance in the QB meeting room, and I just don't see that happening with a QB with 3/4 of a season worth of starting experience, and a rookie who's head is spinning just trying to take everything in. I certainly think Orlavsky needs to be replaced though.

It would be a good battle with Glennon, and it wouldn't break the bank to sign him.I think this is the route we should go rather than waste a top 10 draft pick on a meh prospect like Carr.
I am sure that if the Bucs drafted a QB in the 1st round they would not think he is some "meh" prospect. If the Bucs draft a QB in the 1st round, then Lovie and the entire staff are placing their jobs in the QB's hands.

Nope. I'd like to see what Glennon can do but I think you have to give him solid competition and make him win the job. If Glennon is who we hope he is, this shouldn't be an issue. If not, then I wouldn't mind handing the reigns to a guy like McCown and draft a QB in 2015.

They will give Glennon the season, its up to him to sink or swim. He has to realize, he is not Lovies or Tedfords guy, so he really needs to step up. I am keeping an open mind on him. Lets see how he progresses this season. Then they can make a decision on the QB position after the season.
We should get McCown in FA and take a late round flyer on Logan Thomas. Then let the three QBs battle it out over the summer.
