Just participated in the new Buc poll about the game. Frankly, I wish conservative coaching was up there. However, even as the McCown INT is the obvious choice and the blocked FG and punt were huge, in my opinion having only one starter on the defensive line there had a major overall effect. Put McCoy in there and suddenly there's a lot more pressure on the QB, blitzes are that much more effective, runs are stopped, INT's might get throw with less time in the pocket. McCoy's absense cannot be overestimated.Don't get me wrong. We still had no business losing to the Rams. I'm not one to curse but if there ever was a case of somthing being a clusterf...., this is it. Those other plays are really unforgivable...all of them. "Only bad things can happen..." when you're past the 40 with three timeouts?!! However, even as it is more subtle, of the choices offered, McCoy's absence was the biggest of them all.
