Coming out of Washington third receiver on the team, outplaying both Polk and Rome. Very impressive first and foremost.

victim/due to circumstances? Absolutely. Godwin going down really opened up things for him.

despite it. NFL and any sport is a next man up thing. This is no exception. Major props to him.

2nd his “gun” first down pointing celebration. Give me a break! He literally pointed & has done that all year. Now it gets flagged?!

remember AWJ in the Super Bowl giving the  ✌️ sign to tyreek? Also a personal foul. Yet he did it to us in the regular season! lol.

just asking the refs to be consistent. To make matters worse how long did it take them to decide it was first and 10 not first and goal? At least 5 minutes. That shit was bananas.

NFL quickly becoming the no fun league. No celebrating. No touching the qb. Flag football in 10 years I swear.

got to love McMillan progress.  Proving to be a good #2 WR to Evans.  If (and hopefully) we bring back Godwin, we would have three good WRs.

as far as the gun thing, it's silly.  Even if he didnt make up for it with a TD, he did enough by converting that 4th down.

suppose, maybe those in charge believe the "gun hands" is what is causing the mental health crisis crazy people shooting up schools, etc.  Really they should be penalizing celebrations around big pharma :)

yep 100% on bringing back Godwin. Can never have too many weapons. Especially McMillan being on a rookie deal for 3 more years.

never want anyone to get hurt (especially one our best players like Chris Godwin) but the silver lining is he may be a bit cheaper. Had he stayed healthy scary to think the contract he would’ve commanded. He was top 5 across the board iirc.

im hoping maybe a 3-4 year deal 15-20aav range. Much more realistic coming off of another major injury.

franchise tag is also an option but that’d be closer to 30 mil im guessing. That’d be worst case imho.

McMillan is a stud.

Polk can be a stud too if he receives proper coaching because the Patriots are the worst run organization right now.  Worse than the Jets...ouch.  Bucs can trade for Polk on the cheap and maybe the Patriots take the bait.

There’s an article today where McMillan acknowledges his recent success comes from becoming more professional. No matter how dumb the guns rule is (and it is) it’s still his job to not violate the rule.  Could have been game changing.

i mean i hear ya.  especially if the league issued something against it

but...look closely at that last play.  Mike Evans got his 1,000 yards and spiked the football.  Was he caught up in the moment?  Of course.

by the books, that's a penalty...but that ref crew would have been booed out the stadium/life in danger if they called that haha

I'm not even sure it violates the rule. I've seen him and others do that exact thing (signaling a first down) countless times this year with no flag.

Refs normally do not call it if you are not pointing at someone.  It was a bad call.

and that the ensuing dysfunction of them not realizing its a 1st and 10.  what was that a 4-5 minute delay?

that crew should not be in the playoffs

It was a really bad call for sure and it almost became a game changing terrible call. 1st and goal from the 30 or 40 or something?

I agree with you on the call, but any coach would say McMillan gets paid to catch passes, not celebrate and hope the refs adhere to what they normally do, if they realize you're not pointing at someone.

Part of  being a pro is controlling what you can. Shitty refs all over the place happy to steal outcomes

Rather have the  Bucs win than become the subject of Bert Emanuel conversations again!!!

Dude has been making plays the past month and I will give credit where its due. This hot streak has made the passing game a lot more formidable then before. He's giving us big-play down field ability that I haven't seen in awhile.

I had my doubts he'd turn it around this year but he definitely did. Glad he did, because we need someone to take the burden off ME every game. Look forward to seeing him next year, and with Godwin in the slot. Offense will be filthy if we somehow can keep Coen from leaving.

Who would have thought you'd get political?

Not me

The rule is dumb. I understand the machine gun stuff... That one dude for SC shooting am air machine gun athe dude he tackled... Yeah def dumb and warranted.

But this rule is asinine and it only exists to protect the league from lawsuits (I saw my idol fake shoot a gun so I shot my friend) or some stupid shit.

The NFL only cares about money. CTE stuff and targeting exists so they don't get sued... It's not about player safety.

And all these rules gives refs power to influence betting lines.

Gun hands is absolutely stupid.

They could have called Baker after his 3rd quarter scramble run to pick up the 1st down. After being hit high on his late slide, he stood over Will Harris… and a near brawl erupted on field…they declined.

The number of nit-picky holding calls alone - was off the charts in this game.

Terrible officiating crew - hopefully they aren’t a playoff crew.

The stadium was wild on that 5 minute delay trying to figure out what the rules were. Maybe they got the woke ref to the side and told him it might be in the interest of safety if he cooled it on the political flag thing?
