I was listening to this Draft Savages podcast and a few of the hosts mentioned a couple of interesting "hot takes".First, they confirmed the same thing y'all are hearing and seemingly everyone is hearing - the Bucs prefer Winston and are almost writing his name down in pencil for the first pick. I was never one to doubt y'all, have just consistently preferred Mariota (and still do). BUT, more importantly, did you hear this rumor about him still wanting to play baseball? Apparently the rumor is that he thinks he can be a relief pitcher, and, if he's drafted in the MLB draft as a top 3 rounder AND he's not a Day 1 starter for whatever football team drafts him he legitimately wants to also play baseball. Like he thinks he's the next Bo Jackson or something?Asking y'all bc apparently this was a rumor running through Mobile and, if true, completely reinforces the very reason I want Mariota over him in the first place - dedication to the craft. I want the number one overall focused on football and football only. I know for a fact Mariota will be obsessive about ball, and while I'm still okay with JW if he is the pick, I'm not okay if it's coming like this. There's just a lot that bothers me about it (that is if the rumor is true).
