Here's wishing everyone on the Red Board a safe and lovely Memorial Day, filled with brats, beer and maybe some beaches. I also wish everyone finds a moment to pause and give thanks for our brothers in arms who gave the ultimate sacrifice- and the loved ones they left behind. Whether in prayer or grateful remembrance, I hope all of us can find the time to respect our fallen warriors who never returned. To anyone interested, the protocol for displaying an American flag on Memorial Day is to fly the flag at half-staff only from sun-up to noon- at which point it should be raised quickly to full-mast. For flags not mounted on a pole that can be raised or lowered; a black ribbon, ideally as wide as a stripe on the flag, can be attached at the top of the pole. All the best!
