Why post the link to this Hayseed? You think this proves you right? Seriously?
Was he? Where is the link?
Huh?
I asked for a link that showed he was pimping himself to other teams and you post a link to a quote that just shows he was waiting around for the Bucs and caught completely off guard by their complete lack of interest. You are helping me prove my point. Thanks....and goodnight. Gonna go watch this game.
Run off if you feel the need. You got links showing that he misled the Bucs. Bottom line: he thought he was worth more and when he found out he wasn't,he ran off to a contender without allowing Dominik to match the offer. Dom was doing what every other GM was doing and allowing the market to establish. Bennett couldn't handle it. Without the benefit of accurately predicting the future, I don't see how the Bucs can be faulted here.

So, Dom was in the wrong for not immediately offering a long term deal to Bennett? If so, what does that say about every other GM in the league?
Bennett's in the playoffs and we're not. Wonderful.

You said it yourself, WE pulled Bennett off the scrap heap as an undrafted free agent. WE molded him and let him develop into the player is he today. So, doesn't make sense that our GM would know better than anyone what he was worth? Isn't it on the GM to know his roster inside and out and realize that Michael Bennett was easily worth a long term contract that paid $7M/year? Shouldn't our GM know better than any other team that Bennett has gone from the bottom to the top with nothing but hard work and dedication? And that he has never had any type of suspensions or legal trouble along the way? That he is ultra valuable because he plays all over the D-line? Didn't we have a huge leg up on everyone else in knowing just how good Bennett was? So yes. Dom was absolutely in the wrong. Michael Bennett should never even have reached free agency to start. He was tagged with a 1st round tender in 2012 and followed that up with his best year yet.....and then instead of giving him the deal he had earned in 2013.....we don't even make an offer and just let him walk. It was incredibly stupid no matter how you try to spin it or how hard you try to deny it. Most people realized then, everyone realizes it now. Everyone but you and Doloris.
PAY DA MAN!Too late. What really sucks is that we could have had a solid DE, and perhaps his brother if they went after him...what a dependable tight end The Black Unicorn has turned out to be. Ah well...
But it's not too late. We have a chance to correct the last regimes' mistake by signing him this offseason. Of course his price tag is going up up and away with these great playoff performances. Probably can't get him for $7M/year anymore....but we can at least try. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Hawks cut Cris Clemons and give Bennett a long term deal instead. Clemons is 32, was injured most the year, and is scheduled to make $10M in 2014. I think they might just decide that money would be better spent on a 28 year old Michael Bennett.
"Bottom line: he thought he was worth more and when he found out he wasn't,he ran off to a contender without allowing Dominik to match the offer"Poor Dom, guess he had one of those phones that only receives calls.

Every scout, talent evaluator, coach and GM had access to Bennett's film and they ALL decided he wasn't worth a long term deal. You guys are complaining based on hindsight. Dom was determined not too overpay, which he has been lit up for in the past. Bennett was a solid player for us but his market value was sketchy to say the least. Dominik did the right thing by waiting it out, especially when he had a second rounder vying for playing time, a potential franchise QB contract negotiation and a stud DT to resign in 2015. In hindsight, plenty of bad calls were made but I don't see how he can be blamed for what happened at the time. If you don't get that, then I feel bad for ya, kid.

Seriously guy, I try not to sink to the level of name calling....but you as dense as they come.

Why does this simpleton keep saying this? You made the same horrible arguments to the same group of people nine months ago. You were wrong then and you're wrong now, you just aren't able to understand that for some reason.

What Hayseed said was dumb but JDouble, I don't know if you're being sarcastic or what, but you call people names all the time haha. You sound like a six year old at times with some of the names you call people.
Shut up stupid face.
Shut up stupid face.
