To be honest, him coming out might improve his stock and take him out of our reach.
Yes, if there's one thing NFL teams covet above all else it's distractions. Are there really any pr hungry owners that would really kick down the doors of their draft room to corner the homosexual football fanbase?
Do it Glazers!!!! That dude can sack the QB. We need a few of those.
He'll be the first openly gay NFL player.Good luck to him and the adversity he'll face.
i dont think itl be that much adversity any more. If i said I hope my son doesnt turn out to be gay it would be offensive these days somehow.
I have very little doubt that being black and gay will lead so some very rough moments in public.
He will now be the "Jackie Robinson" of gay players. Disney is already writing a movie for this guys story.
To be honest, I thought Sam was better than Kony Ealy this season. Would absolutely love to have him on the bucs. Good for him for coming out and announcing it
If the Bucs draft it, then I won't go to any games while it's on the team.Lightning strikes are close enough already. ;D

If the media gets a hold of one guy who gives him crap for being gay, than theyre done, and all endorsments they may have had are gone. Society gets more liberal every day at an insane rate.EDIT: infact thinking about it more, im sure he gets less crap now that he has come out. Nobody is going to even want to haze this guy because of the PR mess it could bring them. Any normal hazing will be hard to distinguish between bullying because he's gay.
Sam is cuter so I hope we draft him.Sorry Jdub I had to do it. :)

Because he was. Clearly. Doesn't mean he's the better pro prospect though. Sam has physical talent and a motor that almost ensures he will be a contributor to an NFL defense. He is one of the "safer" picks in this draft imo, because of where he has been projected to be selected.

Since when do you go to games?

To me this is absolutely no different then saying that one would not support the Bucs for drafting him because he is Black (or were he Jewish, for that reason).

The dude won the Cotton Bowl for Mizzou and he was co-defensive player of the year for the SEC. Him coming out is likely to make teams pay more attention to him and therefore improve his stock. If you think he's the only guy in the NFL who is gay, you're out of your mind.

This is why he had a sit down interview. Publicity. Michael Sam's name will always be etched in stone as being the 1st openly gay athlete in professional football. They will be talking about him 100 years from now whether he becomes a great player or not. SIT DOWN interviews are for nothing but self promotion. The talk of this draft will now be "which team is going to draft Michael Sam?"
Bring in Ritchie Incognito to "straighten him out."

He's calling the guy "it". That should tell you how smart and classy he is.

Yeah, he's a real asshole for answering questions truthfully. No one ever interviews college players before the combine and draft, he obviously orchestrated this whole thing just so he could get some attention from the media.
