changed everything tonight.
Add Otton to that list, hes been having dropsies all training camp and now into the regular season better get on the jugs, makes the difference between a 5m a year contract vs vet min. He has a prime opportunity to make himself aload of cash but now is playing him into a #2, #3 TE role once his rookie contract is up
Evans has had some bad drops. I think one tonight though the defender got his hand in
lol his few drops weren’t good but the trenches were the issue
they were getting 8 yards a pop and offensive line couldn’t pass protect
Mike had 3 drops in the first half when the game was close, including a TD.
he does this every season and it’s frustrating af.
also, sick of Dean and Davis getting injured every season too
Mike has always had some drops, not too many but some. nothing new
yesterday it came at the wrong moment, that's all
Pay him that huge contract ……not
The would be TD in the first half was not a drop. Defender got his hand in the perfect position to hit the ball before Mike could clamp both hands on it. That pass should have either gotten there sooner or should have been a little more outside, out of reach of the defender. He had one drop that was all him. The other, on the sidelines, was after it started raining, and it was a little high and hard. If it wasn't wet, I would give him 100% blame on that one, but the rain, placement, and heat on the throw made it a little harder than it should have been. Still catchable though. And Mike shouldn't have even had that first TD attempt as Godwin was wide open the play before and Baker was late and wide on the throw. Baker was putting a lot of balls up either late or high making it a tough night all around.

if Mike Evans wasn't on this team, we would be 0-3
give him 3 years, $75 million and call it a day
we lost last night because of our offensive line and because of our defense not being able to stop the Eagles.
Not to mention Dean and Davis being hurt. What are the vegas odds on Winfield to miss time? Week 5 or 6? Yeah let's throw money at him instead of a star WR that literally is the only reason we have an offense.
…but it was raining…
I blame the lack of running & run D more then Mike Evans
we got dominated on both trenches like I knew we would
That with the turnovers spelled disaster

agreed
The good news is if Mike continues with the inopportune drops, we’ll only be competing with ourselves to re-sign him.
Huge Evans fan, but he was featured in the game plan and came up with nothing until junk time.
To be sure there is more to it than just him, but he has his limitations
The ball hit both of his hands in the end zone and instead of going up 7-3, we tied 3-3. Changed the whole game. Then the 2nd drop right as we are driving and trying to get back in game. Mike Evans needs to focus on catching the ball instead of his contract.

certainly a fair point that he needs to catch the ball, but I think the game is lost in the series that follow that. The 2nd and 3rd quarter are something like 19 to 3?
they score a lucky TD and when we come out to respond we have a pick and then a fumble (after picking them off!)
They follow with field goal before half and then the killer TD to start the 3rd. That TD drive is something like a 5 minute drive with several big runs and I think the goal line "sneak" plays. In other words, its the Eagles bending the Bucs defense
not defendingt he drop, just saying that I think the pivotal players are later and the Bucs were outmatched from the start
