What is a reasonable amount of money. I honestly have no idea aside from its in the 50-100 mil range for a deal for a Franchise QB and HOF WR, at then tailish end of his career with a "dropsy" problem...A big one, one that HAS COST us BIGGGames before, how much more??? 3 years for 34..mil? Baller can ask what we wants, just following these two Post season games, Ive seen enough to see what he CAN BECOME with just alittle bit more work (reading the d just a little smarter and faster), to go all in on Baller
Baker should get something in the 3-year/$75M-$90M range (my guess is with around $40M guaranteed. It’s pretty much in line with what Geno received and Geno had a better year (leading into his new deal).
Evans is tricky, but it’s certainly more than $10M-$11M per year as you suggested.
If I had to bet, it would be 3-years/$70M-$75M.
Lets hope they Love TEAM more than paper....that is all.
PS: I think BOTH HAVE SHOWN THAT THEY DO (might?/hope/cross my fingers?)
I mean, how much per year do you want them to get, that’s realistic?
I have really no Idea or true understanding to even properly frame a reference such as Geno, because Geno just aint really that good. Maybe 32 mil for ME for 3 years with Incentives? Baker, whatever it takes, I think he's WAYYYYY better than Geno, so he DESERVES moah, but will likely try and be team friendly, thats what I hope anyway. Thats my thought right Now anyhoo.
Red Board going to Red Board. Consensus is to give Mayfield the Geno Smith deal while admitting the Geno Smith deal was bad for Seattle.

Red Board going to Red Board.
That translates to "I am not going to say what he will get?"
During his post-game interview where Mayfield says if he comes back he wants Evans back, there was a question about feasibility. After saying it was posible Mayfield used the word "sacrifice, " as in teams do it by players cutting lesser deals because they think the team has a chance.
Mayfield is an F pre-snap, F post snap when the coverage isn't what he's expecting but he's an A when he can just catch and throw.
LOL
One of his best plays of the game is his pass that comes after reading the shift in defense and then dropping a dime
JC, you also wanted Trask in early right and said at one point that Mayfield should get ZERO from the Bucs?
I think ME suggesting that Baller is criminally underrated is specifically relating to his arm talent and general understanding of the game....NO ONE UNDERESTIMATES BALLERZ MOXIE X FACTOR< BALLZ whatever you wanna call it. I UNDERESTIMATED HIM, well he just smacked my expectations, like a pimp-back handed an all, in the last two games. I saw unmistakable arm talent, accuracy and absolute LAZERS. He reads the defense well, but not Like TB12 or D Brees, not yet...grow Baller. I think all he needs to do is speed up a little bit with his recognition, play call, adjust, and snap. Thats really it, he has an entire offseason to work on it.

Yeah but Baller >>> Geno. That is all IMHO.

From afar I assumed he was a bit of a head case who could not stay within an offense. Boy was that wrong. Maybe he's changed, matured or whatever . . but that was the vide he had before to me, admitting that I may have bene way off.

Two options.
Let him test the market and match or slightly undercut it.
Offer him a cheap 1 year deal, loaded with achievable incentives and the stipulation he cannot be tagged in 2025.

JC can certainly prove me wrong but my guess is that he never gives us an actual guess on the contratc Mayfield signs and that is what is really "red board going to red board"
Its easier to bitch and complain than to understand and back up, so when the facts dont turn out to line up with an opinion. . just slide the opinion over a bit . . and then. . . troll without actually answering ("red board gonna red board")
It would be way more interesting to know what JC actually thinks it will be . . . and who cares if it turned out wrong.

what will he actually GET?
What is the actual market for his services ("Let him test the market and match or slightly undercut it")?
zero
$10 million
$25?
Let him test the market and match or slightly undercut it.
I think he’ll test the market regardless, or he should fire his agent.
That being said, 3yr/$75M-$80M (and the corresponding APY) would pretty much put him in the bottom half of the league.
Not too many options available.

JC?
Badabing put a number out
DH put a number out
I even put a number out (even conceding I couldn't care or know less about $ side)
So, whats your OFFSEASON number?

He may be waiting for you to tell us how Atlanta is better than Tampa Bay, position by position.
Shameless hypocrite.
