Remember when Bowles was to blame for letting Evans injure his hamstring? lmao
"It seems Evans was possessed with getting on the field and getting the Bucs over the hump. McClendon described Evans as pressing folks at One Buc Palace to expedite doctors clearing him to play earlier than expected.
“Nothing surprised you when it comes to [Evans] just because he’s wired the right way and he’s the person he is and he worked his tail off to get back. He really, really did, man,” McClendon said. “I mean, every step of the way he was like, ‘Hey, you know, I’m coming back here, here, here’ and then actually came back a little bit ahead of schedule. And he was kind of pushing them to get the doctor visits and everything else moved up so he can go ahead and then get cleared early. I mean, he was really, really motivated to come out there and help us try to make this playoff run.”
Do you think Evans is the first player ever to demand to play when he shouldn't?
No
I also don't think that excuses the silly stuff that people come up with because they are unable to handle their own frustration lol.
This is the place where Mayfield was "on film not throwing to a wide open recover" . . when the actual film showed the receiver was the deep (decoy) on the non-play side.
Or, the Bucs running game is struggling because "Mayfield is sending the RB the wrong way!"
Funny stuff.
If Bowles makes it through the 2026 season, there will be plenty more. The game day threads are GUARANTEED to be a special kind of silly!
You're throwing out a lot of stuff that isn't exactly relevant to player (injury) managment.
Evans played when he shouldn't have vs Ravens. He should have waiting for Atlanta. He can cry and moan about not playing but that's LITERALLY what the coaching staff is for
Godwin is in-game player management.
Evans coming back against Detroit full speed deep ball heavy was an unjustifiable risk imo. No issue with him playing I was expecting to be a decoy and to get some easy ones to find his rhythm. Injuries aside it was very questionable play selection to just chuck it deep all game with injuries to our line and their aggressive pass rush.
It all falls in the same incompetency bucket but different versions of it.
Risk/reward etc

well my post wasnt about player injury management, it was a joke about Red Board poster mis-management ;-)
