Imagine if we could execute an effective screen pass against quick pressure.

It's not something we practice, so why would we use it in a game? It's not what we want to do, lol.

Again, myou either are or aren't a screen team. You either run it as prt of your base offense or don't bother. It takes too much practice and it requires the right personnel. We don't practice it and we don't have the people to run it.  That isn't the answer to the pressure, we have other clubs in the bag or at least we should.

The sad thing is how many times the Bucs' offensive line is completely collapsed and the Rams still have most of their players in coverage. This is only a 4-man rush. 6Wtoq2Ph.png

That rush 4 cover with 7 is how we won a whole lot of games for a long time. The problem is that for what we pay that OL that shouldn't happen.

It just comes down to what I always try to tell people it's a combination of a lot of things. The offensive line not holding their ground, too many blitzers to block, long developing routes, receivers not getting open, Glennon not throwing it away when he has the time to throw it away, happy feet, coaching, and well you get the point. The team has some issues to sort out on offense. Not many rookies can flourish in this situation.

Glennon is terrible. He has players wide open. Pull the trigger Twiggy! !

I'm guessing you never played football.

Schaino was asked about one of the sacks and, in particular, the fact that there were too many blitzers to block and even though he was careful in his word choice he did note that one of the issues is "schematic."  I take that to mean the play call, but I guess it could also mean the offense not adjusting to a better play

Imagine if we could execute an effective screen pass against quick pressure.

Imagine if we had a QB that could identify rushers pre snap

Rookies should be able to do this day 1. Clearly these sacks were because Glennon didn't read the defense. Shame on him.

Course not , he's an Aussie. The closest thing he's seen to football is Australian-Rules.

This is a big problem and certainly opposing DCs have been taking advantage of it

Are you serious or just trolling now? Glennon is supposed to anticipate pre-snap which plays Penn gets beat like a drum on?  Or which plays Davin decides to whiff on?These aren't exotic schemes.  Not blitzes.  They are basic four man rushes. You give a guy 2 seconds when a route takes 3 to develop, or give him 3 when the route takes four, he needs to be able to anticipate the routes, and who is going to uncover and throw it before that happens all while facing pressure in his face.  That is not something you get with consistence from any rookie QB.  That's why the mobile QBs look better as rookies -- because they can bail and run when that happens.  But don't kid yourself into thinking that they do any better than Glennon in reading a D.  He's actually quite good at it for a rookie, that's why he does so much better in a quicker passing game.

Don't forget the qb can also help the line out by avoiding the rush or stepping up.  There is no doubt in my mind that over the last three games Glennon has started this back peddling that is hard to watch.  Is that because he has David Carr happy feet I don't know but he sure does not have a lot of time.  To me our o is out of sync.
