What is all this talk about Jdud and "cuteQBs" about?I can make a relatively sound guess, so never mind. LMAO!!
He likes to pretend he was objective about Glennon, but he hated the pick from the start and even said himself he would bash it for 10 years. Also hated the pick because he's not cute.
I can't believe I have to see this kids ugly retarded face now. What a freaking waste of a pick.
#wastedoppurtunityAnd I will point it out often for the next ten years.
Sick to my stomach. This is such a waste. I'll be pointing out how stupid this was for the next ten years.
Glennon and Ryan had pretty comparable rookie seasons and Glennon's rookie year is better than Ryan's second season. I'm all for the Bucs upgrading the position, but I don't see why Glennon can't make similar progression.

He's just not cute enough to start in this league.
Agreed. What an ugly sob.
Glennon didn't have a bad year. He can certainly improve in it. Can being the keyword there. It's made the choice difficult on whether to draft another qb in the first round. It sounded like Lovie is ok with having him as the starter next season. I just hope we can block better in from of him and the WRs can get separation and hold onto the ball more.
What does Matt Ryan have to do with anything? So the Falcons had an awful team this year and went 4-12.....but guess what. Matt ryan still was top five in yards per game because he is a valid starter and doesn't need everything to be perfect in order to do his job.Was that your point?
Lol. You know the point, you just don't like it.
I have no problem with the point. The point is, the Falcons had no running game, no Julio Jones, and an injured Roddy White for most of the year....and Ryan still did his job well. He didn't need fans to make a bunch of excuses. he just went out and completed 67% of his passes for over 4500 yards. Unfortunately for the Falcons, it was not enough to overcome the injuries on offense and the horrible defense, but they didn't finish 4-12 because of Ryan. He did his job. Because that is what a franchise QB does.So good point. Thanks for sharing.
JDub, now you have me wondering if you even understand your own hypocrisy. It's no wonder you get hoisted on your own petard so much.
You are right Vin. Why do I keep clicking the "Show me the post." link on your posts? I might really be stupid.
We were dead last in the NFL in both passing yards per game and average yards per attempt. How can anyone claim that the quarterback who started 13 of those games had a good season?

oh boy . . okay, let's take it slow1. JDub argues "Glennon sucks . . his low YPG is proof"2. Logic says IF "low YPG=suck" THEN "high YPG = good"3. BUT . . . Ryan has "high YPG" and yet equal W/L record to "low YPG Glennon". In a QB-driven league where QB is king, low YPG and high YPG should not have identical record4. CONCLUSION: stat does not tell us what JDub thinks it does In a QB-driven league, where QB is key to success if "low YPG=suck" and "high YPG=great" then the records would not be equal. Any stat is isolation is close to useless JDub. The even bigger point though -- and where the hypocrisy arrives for JDub --- is that Ryan has "High YPG" but equal record to Glennon because there are EXTERNAL factors at play (53 guys, not 1) . .. when discussing Glennon though JDub says those external factors are "excuses" (i.e., they are "irrelevant). It adds up to nothing that the O-line sucks, rookie, no running attack, bad coaching . . Glennon is what he is NOW and he sucks because he has low YPG . . . Ryan does not suck despite having identicla record to Glennon because "Atlanta had no running attack" . . . and Ryan has . . . wait for it . . . a track record . . . . a track record . . . but Glennon doesnt get the track record or the external considerations before we pronounce that he sucks . . . as a rookie . . . . . because of low YPG
I am confident that with a NFL average #2 WR, pass pro and slot WR that Glennon could put up more yardage. The question I have with Glennon is can he make the hot reads to make teams pay for sending pressure? This to me is a huge question mark and why his performance in the second half of games falter (along with mechanical breakdowns that effect his accuracy). Glennon was a gun slinger in college so we may be reading too much into the conservatism of Glennon's play under Schiano's thumb.

Your whole thesis is based on the premise that everything else is equal (or close enough to be irrelevant) when it clearly is not. Also, nfl.com has the Falcons 7th in yards per game passing. Of the top 10 teams in that category, seven found their way into the playoffs. So it's not a bad indication of "good".

What is all this talk about Jdud and "cuteQBs" about?I can make a relatively sound guess, so never mind. LMAO!!
It all started when people started looking back at the draft day Glennon threads and seeing that Jdud's 1st and primary outrage over the Glennon draft pick was simply how ugly and goofy he looks. Then as people started scouting this year's crop of prospects , we noticed that every QB Jdud started pimping were considered the cute sex symbol QB's on their respective campuses. It's become quite apparent to everyone what is the 1st quality Jdud subconsciously looks for in his QB's . In short : He's gay.....not that there's anything wrong with that .... just biased. LOL
You are the one deciding which QBs are sexy.....but I'm gay? Whatever floats your boat sweety.
Don't call me sweetie .... please. Your obsession over a man's looks are already creepy enough.
