However, Glennon led comeback in college late in games while in the NFL as a rookie he faltered.
No he didn't. People use FSU as an example but if you watch it he really sucked. That comeback was possible due to two dropped interceptions and several penalties on FSU. Glennon didn't step up his game to another level in that game. Not even close. And I would love to hear another example....because there are none. Also, you say he was different in college and took chances.....but in his final year he ranked 66th in yards per pass. Same guy.
He's no Buddy Hobbs. That's for sure.
Lol.
I think Glennon and Kap being similar as passers is a compliment to Glennon. I don't think Kaepernick is near the QB the hype makes him out to be, but let's look at the big picture.-Kap had what is likely the best oline in football. -Kap had better skill position players around him. -Kap had a better defense to back him up.-Kap had better coaching.-Kap was in his 3rd year vs Glennon as a rookie.Taking in all these factors and Glennon still putting up similar numbers to the media's golden boy says a lot about Glennon in my opinion. Given improvements to all those areas next year I think Glennon will be a legit QB. He does not have Kaepernick's wheels I admit, but I think he has a much higher ceiling as a QB.

If he is improves his decision making (speed) and his mechanics (which I think he will) he can play in this league. So what we are pretty much debating at this point is Glennon capable of carrying this team most of the time, some of the time, or is simply a game manager?Brad Johnson wasn't always game manager as a Viking or Redskins as he aired it out: http://www.nfl.com/player/bradjohnson/2501411/profile Johnson had a 4,000 passing season as a Redskin back in 99. He also had 3500 and 3800 passing seasons as a Buc. His arm simply gave out and the rest is history.Glennon has a long way to go to reach Brad Johnson's level. But he also shows he has a stronger arm than Johnson ever had though so he is capable.
